VEHICLE CLOSURE ASSEMBLY ACTUATING METHOD AND SYSTEM

A vehicle closure assembly actuating method includes, among other things, detecting a user approaching the vehicle, and assessing an approach speed of the user. The approach speed is a speed at which the user is approaching the vehicle. The method further includes opening a closure assembly of the vehicle based, at least in part, on the approach speed from the assessing.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR TRAINING A CLASSIFICATION DEVICE

A method for training a classification device, the method comprising: receiving classification device constraints at an intermediary device; receiving training data at the intermediary device; matching the training data to the classification device constraints to provide constrained training data; mapping the constrained training data to classification device functionality to provide a command model; and transmitting the command model to the classification device.

Apparatus, method, and assembly for attenuating vibrations between a latch and a striker
11643840 · 2023-05-09 · ·

A vibration-reducing apparatus for an assembly comprising a first member including a latch and a second member including a striker may include a threaded post having arm members extending outwardly therefrom, the threaded post being rotatably advanceable in discrete increments in a threaded opening extending through the first member such that, in a closed position of the first and second members, a distal portion of the threaded post extending through the first member contacts the second member upon rotational advancement of the threaded post in the threaded opening; and a locking region arranged to interact with at least a portion of the arm members, the rotational advancement of the threaded post in the threaded opening and contact with the second member reducing an engagement distance between the latch and the striker with the first and second members in the closed position, and attenuating vibrations between the latch and the striker.

VOICE RECOGNITION DEVICE AND VOICE RECOGNITION METHOD
20230139640 · 2023-05-04 ·

A voice recognition device receives requests to control devices installed in a moving body based on instructions voiced by a user. The voice recognition device includes a speech acquisition unit, a speech data conversion unit, a control target device identification unit, a detection mode setting unit and a control request identification unit. The speech acquisition unit acquires speech. The speech data conversion unit converts the acquired speech into speech data. The control target device identification unit that analyzes the speech data to identify the control target device. The detection mode setting unit that sets a detection mode for identifying the control request corresponding to the speech data in accordance with the control target device. The control request identification unit that analyzes the speech data to identify the control request with respect to the control target device, based on the set detection mode.

BUMPER STOP OF A VEHICLE STRUCTURAL MEMBER AND A RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY
20170370141 · 2017-12-28 ·

The present disclosure provides a bumper stop for a vehicle structural member. The bumper stop includes a main body having a supporting surface, an assembling surface opposite to the supporting surface and a side surface between the supporting surface and the assembling surface; and a hollow conical portion partially surrounding the side surface of the main body and connected to the main body along a perimeter of the main body. The hollow conical portion is made from elastic material and configured to be flipped from a first position to a second position.

FLUID TRANSFER DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
20220379697 · 2022-12-01 ·

Fluid transfer systems are disclosed that can be configured to transfer precise amounts of fluid from a source container to a target container. The fluid transfer system can have multiple fluid transfer stations for transferring fluids into multiple target containers or for combining different types of fluids into a single target container to form a mixture. The fluid transfer system can include a pump and a destination sensor, such as a weight sensor. The fluid transfer system can be configured to flush remaining fluid out of a connector to reduce waste, using air or a flushing fluid.

TORSION ROD LOADING DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY

In at least one implementation, a torsion rod preload device, includes a body, a driver and a retainer. The body may have a base adapted to be connected to a vehicle and at least one stop. The driver is carried by the body for movement relative to the body, and is adapted to engage a torsion rod so that movement of the driver relative to the body increases a torsion force within the torsion rod. The retainer is carried by one or both of the body and the driver, and is movable by the driver as the driver moves relative to the body. The retainer is engageable with the stop to inhibit or prevent movement of the driver when the retainer is engaged with the stop to maintain a desired torsion force in the torsion rod.

Motor vehicle access control method and access control system

This disclosure relates to an access control method for a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle includes a plurality of access elements, which are automatically moveable between a closed position and an open position. Depending on the at least one detected position of the key element, a prediction is made of which of the plurality of access elements the user is likely to use. This access element is automatically opened. If the prediction turns out to be incorrect, the corresponding one of the plurality of access elements for which the use was originally predicted is returned back from the open position to the closed position. This disclosure further relates to an access control system for a motor vehicle.

Articulating Prop

An articulating prop to prop panels in an open position is disclosed. In one embodiment, the prop includes a protrusion that rests in a groove to lock members of the articulating prop in position. An external force causes the articulating prop members to rotate into a locked position. In another embodiment, an additional latch is disclosed which further locks the articulating prop in a locked position. An external force causes the articulating prop member to rotate out of a locked position. Shapes and interfaces of handles of the articulating prop are disclosed. Openings and pivotal axes of members of the articulating prop are also disclosed herein.
