MODULAR STOREFRONT SYSTEM

A storefront system includes an outer frame having a top piece, a first side piece, a second side piece, and a bottom piece. The top piece has a glass receiving surface, an inner base cap receiving structure, and an outer base cap receiving structure. The first side piece has a glass receiving surface, an inner base cap receiving structure, and an outer base cap receiving structure. The second side piece has a glass receiving surface, an inner base cap receiving structure, and an outer base cap receiving structure. The bottom piece has a bottom piece cross section defined by a glass receiving surface. The storefront system has at least one inner base cap, at least one outer base cap, and glass. The storefront system may also include one or more vertical mullions and one or more horizontal mullions and/or include hinged doors.

Thermally-broken ornamental door

A thermally-broken ornamental door includes a thermally-broken door and a thermally-broken jamb through which thermal transfer is greatly minimized. The thermally-broken door includes an outer panel and an inner panel that are minimally connected through a plurality of door bridging strips. The thermally-broken jamb includes an outer jamb frame and an inner jamb frame that are minimally connected through a plurality of jamb bridging strips. An insulating foam panel is present between the outer panel and the inner panel while an insulating foam core is present between the outer jamb frame and the inner jamb frame. A window assembly is hingedly mounted into the thermally-broken door and includes a retaining spacer frame that minimizes thermal transfer from an exterior environment to an inner window frame through a glass panel of the window assembly. The retaining spacer frame additionally provides structural support to the glass panel.

INSULATED REINFORCED DOOR PANEL AND DOOR FRAME WITH THERMAL BREAK

A metal door frame for a door opening comprising at least one first door frame segment for upper or side portions of the door opening, the at least one first door frame segment having a first molding flange, a first jamb face adjacent to the molding flange, and a first stop flange adjacent to the jamb face. The metal door frame includes at least one second door frame segment for upper and side portions of the door opening, the at least one second door frame segment having a second molding flange, a second jamb face adjacent to the molding flange, a second stop flange adjacent to the jamb face, a second stop face adjacent to the stop flange, and a third stop flange adjacent to the stop face. The metal door frame includes a thermally insulative layer between the first door frame segment and the second door frame segment.

Extruded member corner connection

A connecting device for coupling first and second members includes a body having a first leg and a second leg integrally connected to the first leg. The first leg and the second leg are oriented at an angle with respect to each other. A rigid material core extends through both the first leg and the second leg, the core including a first core member integrally connected to a second core member. The first core member is angularly oriented with respect to the second core member such that the core defines a geometric shape. A resilient material sleeve commonly covers the core of both the first leg and the second leg. The first leg is frictionally received in a first member and the second leg is frictionally received in a second member to couple the first member to the second member.

Method for installing a leaf of a sliding door and set used thereby

Set for installing a leaf (3) of a sliding door (1) provided with a wheel set (12) in a frame (2), the set including a leaf (3), a frame (2), a wheel set (12) and an aid (1), whereby the aid (15) includes supporting elements (17) that each define a support point (20) for the leaf (3), whereby the distance (D.sub.s) between the support points (20) is less than the thickness (D.sub.v) of the leaf (3) and whereby the aid (15) includes at least one connecting element (16) to fix the supporting elements (17) with respect one another.

A curtain wall or window wall for a building including a frame including a plurality of frame units composed of frame members, wherein the frame members comprise mullions. A plurality of infill panels are supported by and received within the plurality of frame units, and one or more thermally insulating elements. Each frame unit comprises a plurality of metal fastening elements for retaining infill panels within a corresponding one of the frame units. Each metal fastening element comprises a first end in contact with the mullions and a second end spaced from the first end. The second end of each metal fastening element, having the first end in contact with the mullions forming a first outer edge of the frame, contacts one of the thermally insulating elements. Each of the thermally insulating elements comprises at least one means for attachment to a pressing.
