Dead stop type projection windows with sealant dams for controlling flow of sealant during installation of insert windows
A dead stop type projection window assembly includes a free-standing frame and at least one insert window. The free-standing frame includes a top member, a base member spaced below the top member, at least two mullions vertically extending between the top member and the base member and spaced apart to form an insert window opening therebetween, and a stop extending along a perimeter of the insert window opening. The insert window is secured to the free-standing frame at the insert window opening and is sealed at the stop with sealant to close the insert window opening. The free-standing frame also includes a sealant dam extending from the stop and engaging the insert window to resist flow of the sealant toward the window frame opening between the stop and the insert window.
Insulated Metal Panel and Curtain Wall Systems
Wall systems and buildings having such wall systems are disclosed. Such wall systems include parametric mullions each of which is constructed from a plurality of interconnecting components so that the wall systems may be disposed much closer to the building frame than conventional wall systems. Such wall systems may include panels disposed to form convex or concave facades. Such wall systems may also include decorative features superimposed over one or more panels or extending outward from the facade surface. The parametric mullions may be formed into trusses which may be used as part of a wall system or independently of such wall systems.
Dead stop type projection windows with seal members for insert windows
A dead stop type projection window assembly includes a free-standing frame and at least one independent insert window. The free-standing frame includes a top member, a base member spaced below the top member, at least two mullions vertically extending between the top member and the base member and spaced apart to form an insert window opening therebetween, and a stop extending along a perimeter of the insert window opening. The insert window is secured to the free-standing frame at the insert window opening. The free-standing frame further includes at least one preformed seal member engaging the insert window to seal closed the window frame opening with a wind/water tight seal. The preformed gasket can extend from the stop to the insert window and/or can extend from at least one of the mullions to the insert window.
CORNER WINDOW LITE ASSEMBLIES
Window lite assemblies and methods for installing the assemblies are provided herein. The assemblies described herein are configured to be installed in new and existing buildings, especially in building corners, while leaving some or all of the horizontal structural members such as headers and sills in place.
PROJECTING FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR SAME
A projecting fenestration assembly includes a window shell having a plurality of component translucent panels. The window shell includes a shell frame having shell edges and a shell base. The plurality of component translucent panels are seated within the shell frame and surround a light cavity. A carriage frame is coupled with the window shell and supports the window shell. The carriage frame includes one or more carriage struts and a carriage tray extending from the one or more carriage struts to a tray end. The one or more carriage struts are coupled along the shell edges of the window shell. The carriage tray is coupled along the shell base.
Adjustable support device for bay windows and other protruding building structures
An adjustable window support device is disclosed. In embodiments, the adjustable window support device includes: a horizontal segment configured to be placed into contact with a lower surface of a bay window; a vertical segment configured to be placed against a wall and configured to extend downwardly from the lower surface of the bay window along the wall; and an adjustable segment configured to extend diagonally from the bottom end of the vertical segment to one or more receiving members at or near the front end of the horizontal segment. The adjustable segment includes a first end that is pivotally coupled to the bottom end of the vertical segment and a second end that is configured to mate with the one or more receiving members at or near the front end of the horizontal segment.
Window frame protection system for use in areas prone to storms
A window frame protection system, for holding an exterior and an interior protective panel against a window, includes an extruded lineal having a first stacked screw boss, an exterior protective panel and a groove with covering cap. Anchoring screws driven through the exterior panel and into the stacked screw boss hold the panel to the lineal. A chamber for a second stacked screw boss, and a part of the extruded lineal, is to attach an interior panel to the window frame when additional window protection is needed and when the exterior of the window frame is not accessible. The second stacked screw boss may be inserted into the chamber during construction or, if the chamber is left open, may be added only when needed. A sash support on the interior of the window frame receives a sill riser for meeting higher design loads on the window sash.
CASSETTE FRAME COMPONENTS AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION
The present disclosure describes cassette frame assemblies and methods of installing them onto curtainwall structures. Assemblies can include a mullion and a first cassette frame coupled to a front end of the mullion via an anchoring tab. The anchoring tab can be configured to move within the first cassette frame prior to installation. An assembly can also include a second cassette frame coupled to the front end of the mullion via a second anchoring tab. A first glass panel can be fixed to the first cassette frame and a second glass panel can be fixed to the second cassette frame. Anchoring tabs can be slidable and pivotable to facilitate safe and efficient installation onto a curtainwall structure.
