HINGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A SEGMENTED DOOR
A method of assembling a hinge comprising a first gear having one or more first teeth, a second gear having one or more second teeth and an area with no teeth, and a cover configured to attach the first gear to the second gear comprises moving the first gear into the cover and moving the second gear having the area with no teeth at least partially into the cover without engagement of the one or more first teeth and the one or more second teeth.
GARAGE DOOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Provided are door systems having a plurality of door panels and a frame, the door panels being movable between an extended position closing an opening in a building structure, and a folded retracted position. When in the extended position, the door panels interlock with each other forming a barrier to wind, dirt, dust and insects. The frame is movably attached to the building structure and when the door panels are in the extended position, the frame moves and engages the door panels with a sealing member to provide an airtight seal of the opening in the building structure.
MULTI-PANEL STACKING OVERHEAD DOOR
A multi-panel overhead stacking door which allows for the addition of multiple panels across an opening width. A vertical extrusion acts a guide for the panel above and/or below it. The vertical extrusion serves as a moving guide which thereby allows for the relatively easy addition of multiple panels. At each end of the door is a series of formed parts that are attached to the ends of the end panels and movably maintained with door guides. The assembled door is driven by, for example, a driven shaft, positioned at the top of or above the door opening. The shaft comprises drums to windingly and unwindingly receive a lifting member. The lifting member runs from the drum to the bottom panel assembly behind each vertical extrusion.
CONTAINMENT DEVICE COMPRISING A DRY CURTAIN
A containment device including a dry curtain, adapted to be deployed for the containment or re-containment of a discharge area, such as an opening, e.g. a door, in response to an explosion. The device includes a ballast bar in the lower portion of the curtain, the ballast bar including cylinders of high-density foam alternated with cylinders of compressible low density foam.
Hydraulically operated overhead tilt-up door with stabilizer
The door system of the present invention includes a mounting frame assembly and a tilt-up door pivotally and slidably mounted within the mounting frame assembly. The door system is installed in a door rough opening as an integral unit, simplifying installation. At least one hydraulic cylinder is utilized to actuate the door between its open and closed positions. A stabilizer including a door component secured to the tilt-up door and a door component secured to the frame assembly are used to stabilize the door when it is in its open position.
SPLICE ASSEMBLY
A frame assembly supporting an overhead door has a horizontal header connected to upright columns or posts with splice assemblies. Fasteners mounted on the columns cooperate with retainers on the splice assemblies to position and connect the columns to the header. Hinge assemblies pivotally mount the door on the header for movement between open and closed positions.
FRAME ASSEMLBY
A frame assembly supporting an overhead door has a horizontal header connected to upright columns or posts with splice assemblies. Fasteners mounted on the columns cooperate with retainers on the splice assemblies to position and connect the columns to the header. Hinge assemblies pivotally mount the door on the header for movement between open and closed positions.
Laminate panel and overhead sectional door panel with laminate panels and a universal fabric hinge
In example a panel for an overhead sectional door is provided. The panel includes a laminate core, a laminate skin, and a universal fabric hinge. The laminate skin is coupled to two opposing sides of the laminate core. The universal fabric hinge is coupled to the laminate skin to connect the panel to an adjacent panel of the overhead sectional door.
Offset roller carrier and bottom bracket assembly
Disclosed is a bottom bracket assembly for a sectional door. Roller wheels engage with tracks along the sides of the doorway to support the door and guide it to move up and down or open and close the doorway. A lift cable connected with lift engagements may be provided to provide an upward bias to the motion of the door to offset the weight of the door. The roller wheels are supported by the bottom bracket assemblies connected at bottom portions of the edge stiles of the door. Each bottom bracket assembly has a bottom bracket fastened to the edge stile and a roller carrier that supports roller wheel. The connection between the roller carrier and the bottom bracket is adjustable to allow the wheel of the roller to be adjusted to a position outward of the edge of the door so that portions of the door, such as a lift bracket connected with the lift cable, do not interfere with the track.
