Door assembly
A door assembly and a frame member for a door assembly. The door assembly may include at least one door panel and a door frame having a plurality of frame members including a header and a pair of side jambs. The invention may also be considered a frame member including a storage compartment. The frame member may include a core; and a top piece adjoining the core to form a structural member. The core and the top piece may be a composite of cellulosic material and at least one other material. The top piece may be a two-piece top piece and may include hollow cavities. Also disclosed are door jamb frame members and mullion frame members.
Integrated fenestration wall assembly
A fenestration wall assembly includes a fenestration frame extending along a perimeter of the fenestration wall assembly. The fenestration frame includes a socket core having a first module socket configured to interchangeably receive service modules therein, and a second module socket configured to interchangeably receive service modules therein. The interchangeably received service modules include at least first and second service modules. Each of the first and second modules includes respective first and second module profiles. A panel having a panel profile is surrounded by the fenestration frame. The panel profile is isolated from the first and second module profiles.
SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONIC DOORFRAME
A system for providing electronic features in a doorframe include a body structure having a top wall, a bottom wall and a plurality of side walls. The walls define an interior space of the body structure. A plurality of ports are formed in the top wall and a plurality of ports are formed in the bottom wall with each port opening into the interior space. One or more of the top wall ports is longitudinally aligned with a respective bottom wall port to form a port pair. A diverter is positioned in the interior space and extends in the interior space from one side wall and toward an opposing side wall. The diverter spans between the port pair. The diverter has a diverter surface that is configured for directing an element that extends through a port of the port pair toward an area in the body structure.
Extruded door frame with connecting molding and compartment for elongated light emitting element
A door frame is comprised of extruded door frame elements, each coupled with an extruded molding, and each including a compartment for containing an elongated light emitting element that is coterminous with the extruded door frame element and emits light evenly along its length and away from a wall. The compartment includes a back wall and an outer side wall with a flanged end. One or more light sources supply light to the lighting element. A controller and a sensor activate the light source upon detection of a stimulus.
DOOR ASSEMBLY WITH HIGH AND LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLIES FOR INTEGRATED ELECTRIC DEVICES AND METHODS OF OPERATING THE DOOR
A door system comprises a door frame adapted to be mounted within an opening, a door pivotally attached to the door frame, a power converter such as an AC/DC converter operably associated the door frame, and a DC electric device mounted to the door and electrically connected to the AC/DC converter. The AC/DC converter is configured to be electrically connected to an AC power unit operably associated with the door system.
SMART ENTRYWAY
A smart entryway includes an entrance door assembly configured to allow users (e.g., residents) to enter and exit a first space (e.g., a residence) and a storage assembly configured to allow secondary users (e.g., deliverymen) in a second space (e.g., a porch) to store items for later retrieval by the users. A security assembly is provided between the entrance door assembly and the storage assembly. The entrance door assembly includes a door and a door frame. A cable connector is provided between the door frame and the door. A power cable and/or control cable from outside of the door may pass through the door and door frame to connect to an electronic device (e.g., a handle or a door display) of the door.
Gate assembly
A gate assembly is formed from a gate attached by hinges to a frame. A pair of L-shaped brackets are attached to the outer sides of the frame. The brackets are in turn attached to a pair of gate posts in a barrier. Bolt holes formed in the header section of the frame receive removable eye bolts that may be used as hoisting points as the frame is being positioned within a barrier. To maintain the shape of the frame during such positioning, a removable sill section is included in the base of the frame. The first upright section of the frame defines an unobstructed internal channel bounded by input and output portals. A cable may pass though the channel and into the gate by way of the output portal. Window openings in the gate may be fitted with removable window panels containing pickets and infill material. Dual gates may be positioned within an enlarged frame, and a removable mullion post positioned between the gates and supported by the frame.

INTEGRATING COMMUNICATION LINES INTO PROFILES
A profile for a fenestration system includes a first portion and a second portion offset from the first portion and thereby defining an inner space therebetween. The profile for a fenestration system further includes a retention mechanism arranged within the inner space, and one or more communication lines mounted to the retention mechanism.
