20230293806 · 2023-09-21 ·

Disclosed embodiments may relate to negative-pressure therapy, which may collect exudate from a tissue site. In some embodiments, a multi-canister module may allow a single negative-pressure source to draw exudate into two or more canisters. In some embodiments, pressure sensing may take place alongside negative-pressure treatment. In some embodiments, the multi-canister module may be configured to allow for one of the canisters to be changed without interrupting negative-pressure therapy.

The invention relates to a vacuum treatment array having at least one open-pored contact element, by way of which a negative pressure and/or suction can be generated in a body cavity, wherein the open-pored contact element is configured, at least in sections, in the manner of a tube, having an outer and/or inner boundary surface rotating around a tube axis, at least in part.

Reduced-pressure systems, methods, and devices for simultaneously treating a plurality of tissue sites

Systems and methods for treating a plurality of tissue sites include a multi-port therapy unit. The multi-port therapy unit includes a plurality of patient-side ports each fluidly coupled to a plurality of conduits and a fluid reservoir fluidly coupled to the plurality of ports. A plurality of pressure sensors are associated with the plurality of patient-side ports to determining a pressure associated with each conduit. A controller is operatively coupled to the plurality of pressure sensors to receive treatment pressure data, monitor pressure for each pressure sensor of the plurality of pressure sensors, and signal an alarm condition if the pressure is outside of a pre-selected range. The system includes a reduced-pressure source fluidly coupled to a dressing at each tissue site through the multi-port therapy unit.

Collapsible canister for use with reduced pressure therapy device

A wound fluid collection system includes a canister with a chamber fluidly connected to a wound dressing in a tissue site through an inlet and also fluidly connected to a reduced pressure source through an outlet. At least a portion of the canister is collapsible and yet can be maintained in an extended state when exposed to subatmospheric pressure. The canister is releasably attachable to a supporting member.
