A door system includes a sliding door panel and a cover. The sliding door panel is configured to slide within an opening and includes a frame forming at least a portion of a perimeter of the panel. The frame comprises a first material and includes a first frame member having a leading edge to slide into abutment with a surface adjacent to the panel, a trailing edge, and opposing sides connecting the leading and trailing edges. At least one side of the opposing sides includes a ridge protruding. The cover is configured to encase at least a portion of the leading and trailing edges. The cover comprises a second material and includes a groove formed into an interior surface of the cover and extending along a length of the cover, the groove configured to receive the ridge to retain the cover on the first frame member.

A profile frame system for sliding elements includes a first and second metallic frame profiles, a one-piece insulating support bar made of plastic with a first upper bar plane and a second lower bar plane parallel to the first bar plane. Each bar plane has, on both longitudinal sides, roll-in heads rolled into respective grooves in the first and the second frame profile and thus connect the two frame profiles, wherein in the insulating support bar above the first upper bar plane a snap-in geometry oriented on the longitudinal side is provided, in which a runner is snapped-in. The first upper bar plane is connected to the second lower bar plane with two support struts. These support struts are arranged to diverge from one another at an acute angle , starting from the snap-in geometry in the first upper bar plane and extending towards the second lower bar plane.

COLLAPSIBLE ELEMENT FOR FAÇADE SYSTEMS

A faade system includes a mullion having exterior and interior portions and defining a glazing pocket between the exterior and interior portions, a thermal break arranged within the glazing pocket and extending between the exterior and interior portions, the thermal break dividing the glazing pocket into a shallow pocket and a deep pocket larger than the shallow pocket, and a collapsible element arranged within the deep pocket and extending between the thermal break and a lateral side of a panel introduced into the deep pocket. The collapsible element is movable between a collapsed state and an expanded state. The collapsible element divides the deep pocket into two or more thermal chambers when in the expanded state to reduce heat transfer by convection through the glazing pocket.

Fenestration frame insulation fittings and methods for same

A fenestration assembly includes a fenestration frame having a frame core. The frame core includes a core exterior face and a a core interior face. A core wall of the frame core includes filament reinforced polymer, and the core wall extends between the core exterior face and the core interior face. One or more core cavities are within the frame core and surrounded by the core wall. At least one insulation scaffold is seated within the one or more cavities. The insulation scaffold includes one or more scaffold walls and scaffold cavities bordered by the one or more scaffold walls. Engagement feet are coupled with the remainder of the insulation scaffold, and the engagement feet are engaged against the core wall.
