COMPOSITE PROFILE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE COMPOSITE PROFILE
A composite profile for windows, fixed glazing, faades, doors or glass roofs. A metal profile is produced by shaping, in particular by roll-forming, from a sheet metal material and that has a profile cross section that forms a groove and a web, the web being formed by profile portions that are on top of one another at least in portions and transition into profile portions that define the groove. The composite profile further comprises an integral or multi-part insulating profile received in the groove of the metal profile in portions and is non-positively and/or positively connected to the metal profile. The insulating profile and/or a further profile received in the groove of the metal profile engages/engage in pockets of the metal profile that are open towards the groove and are arranged on either side of the web.
Thermal insulation structure in side section in which two-side supporting frame window sash overlaps door frame in sliding window system
The present invention relates to a thermal insulation structure of a door frame in which a moving window (sliding window) constituting a sliding window system is installed, and more particularly, a two-side supporting frame window supporting both sides of a glass window constituting a sliding window system, more particularly, relates to an insulating structure in a side section of a door frame into which the side portion of the sliding window that is moved when closing the sliding window of the supporting frame window type is pocketed, that is, the insulating structure of the side section of the door frame.
Insulating Body for Multi-Shell Construction Elements
An insulating body for multi-shell construction elements for spacing apart and thermally separating at least two profiled section elements relative to each other has a base member with a first side and a second side opposite the first side. Fastening projections are arranged on the first and second sides of the base member and secure the insulating body in receptacles of the profiled section elements. At least the first side has two of the fastening projections. The base member has a hollow chamber with an inner guiding contour for receiving and guiding fitting parts. A multi-shell construction element with at least two profiled section elements is provided with at least one such insulating body.
Method and system for thermal barrier installation
An insulation system including a first retention member having a first channel, a second retention member having a second channel, and a thermal bridge. The thermal bridge includes a first finger and a second finger. The first finger is received into the first channel and the second finger is received into the second channel. The system further includes a first locking tab associated with the first channel for securing the first finger and a second locking tab associated with the second channel for securing the second finger. The thermal bridge substantially reduces conductive heat transfer between the first retention member and the second retention member.

Triple pane window spacer having a sunken intermediate pane
In one embodiment, a window spacer has an outer elongate strip with a first surface and a second surface. The window spacer also has first and second inner elongate strips that each has a first surface and a second surface. The inner elongate strips are arranged so that each of the first surfaces of the inner elongate strips is spaced from the second surface of the outer elongate strip. The inner elongate strips are also spaced from each other to form an elongate intermediate pane gap. Support legs extend between the outer elongate strip and the two inner elongate strips.

Frameless supplemental window for fenestration incorporating infiltration blockers
A novel and useful frameless supplemental window for fenestration incorporating infiltration blockers suitable for use with existing windows. The supplemental window, in one embodiment, comprises plastic sheet material with bullnose edging around it. Corner braces add rigidity and strength to corners in several embodiments. An attachment mechanism secured either to the sheet material or the bullnose edge functions to fasten and/or seal the supplemental window to an existing window. Infiltration blockers fastened to the sheet or bullnose prevent or minimize air leakage around various window elements. The bullnose edging and infiltration blockers function to substantially enclose (i.e. trap) a volume of air between the window pane and the plastic sheet material. The supplemental window is configured such that the layer of air enclosed is of an optimum thickness within a preferred range of 0.15 to 0.75 inches to maximize thermal insulation properties of the supplemental window.
