Door hinge closing mechanism
A hinge assembly that includes a closure member such as a door and a torsion bar that extends between hinge assemblies about which the door pivots so that the torsion bar becomes twisted when the door is moved between a closed position and an open position. The twisting of the torsion bar creates potential energy in the torsion which can be used to open or close the door. A force adjustment mechanism is provided which releases built-up potential energy in the torsion bar in a controlled manner so as to close open the door in a controlled manner.

Frame with fasteners securing aligned members and methods for forming same
A frame assembly for windows and doors includes a pair of side members and a pair of generally parallel cross members, each extending along a unique member axis. The cross members include a first frame portion and a second frame portion that extend generally along the member axis and are connected by a camming fastener that draws together and secures the first and second frame portions. A method of fabricating a shutter assembly includes forming a pair of C-shaped partial-frames, each from a side member coupled to portions of two cross-members. The method includes co-axially aligning corresponding portions of the two cross-members along two axes and joining the two C-shaped partial-frames with camming fasteners.

INDEPENDENTLY OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE DOORS WITH AN ARTICULATING DOOR INTERFACE
A door system is provided for a motor vehicle. That door system includes (a) a first independently operable first, door, (b) an independently operable second door, (c) an articulating door interface carried on the first door and (d) a guide on the motor vehicle body. The guide displaces the articulating door interface between a door sealing position when the first door is closed and a door opening position when the first door is opened. A related method is also provided.
ASTRAGAL AND SEALING FOR THE SAME
An astragal is described having a housing and a weather-strip extending along a length of the housing. An end cap is mounted to the housing. The end cap has a bottom wall positioned substantially horizontally along the bottom end of the housing. The bottom wall has an interior edge, an exterior edge opposite the interior edge, an upper surface, and a lower surface opposite the upper surface. At least one projection extends upwardly from the upper surface at a location along the upper surface closer to the interior edge than the exterior edge. The projection sized and positioned to project into the weather-strip and at least partially seal with a cavity opening at a lower end of the weather-strip.
Refrigerator
Disclosed is a refrigerator, more particularly a refrigerator including dual doors that are convenient to use. The refrigerator includes a main body having a storage space therein, a first door hinged to the main body for opening and closing the storage space, a door frame provided at the first door, a second door hinged to the first door, the second door having a side wall, at least a portion of which is inserted into the door frame, and a catching part provided in the side wall, and a locking device for selectively allowing the second door to be turned with respect to the first door, wherein the locking device includes a moving member, the displacement of which is changed depending on the open or closed state of the first door, and a catching member, the displacement of which is changed depending on the displacement of the moving member, whereby the protruding length of the catching member from the door frame is changed, the catching member being selectively caught in the catching part.
