A lighting fixture and a system for controllably blocking egress from and ingress to a predetermined area are provided. The barrier system includes a barrier panel including a barrier screen that is at least one of transparent and translucent such that viewing the predetermined area through the barrier system is permitted, said barrier screen is removable from said barrier panel and replaceable with another different barrier screen selectable by a user, said barrier screen comprising a portal through the barrier screen sized to accommodate a pet.
Movable partition systems, panel assemblies, and methods of attaching protective clips to panels of movable partitions
Panel assemblies for movable partitions include a panel and a protective clip covering at least a portion of a bottom surface of the panel. The panel includes channels defined between lateral edge portions and a back side surface of the panel. Tabs of the protective clip are positioned within corresponding channels. Movable partitions include at least one panel and at least one protective clip, which is assembled with the at least one panel and is coupled to a back side surface of the at least one panel. Tabs of the back portion of the at least one protective clip are inserted at least partially within two opposing channels of the at least one panel. Methods of attaching a protective clip to a panel of a movable partition include positioning tabs extending from longitudinal ends of the back portion of the protective clip within channels of the panel.
Insulated Doors With Restorable Breakaway Sections
Insulated doors with restorable breakaway sections are disclosed. An example door includes a first panel assembly including a leading panel and a trailing panel. The leading panel is to be in substantially coplanar alignment with the trailing panel when the first panel assembly is in a normal configuration. The leading panel is to be angularly displaced out of coplanar alignment with the trailing panel when the first panel assembly is in a dislodged configuration. The example door further includes a tension member to connect the leading panel to the trailing panel. The tension member is to resiliently urge the leading panel and the trailing panel toward each other in a horizontal direction. The tension member is to resiliently urge the first panel assembly toward the normal configuration when the first panel assembly is in the dislodged configuration.
FOLDBACK DOOR AND SYSTEM
A foldback door system for at least partially closing an opening having at least one plane, the system including at least two mutually pivoted panels movable between a closed condition relative to a frame having at least one jamb relative to which the at least two mutually pivoted panels are hung, the at least two panels including a lateral panel located closer to the jamb and an inner panel hinged relative to the lateral panel and the frame, the lateral panel being of a first dimension and the inner panel being of a second dimension different to the first dimension, the closed condition in which the at least two panels are in substantial alignment to at least partially close the opening and a fully open, foldback condition in which the at least two panels are substantially parallel with one another and lie at an angle of greater than 90° with respect to the at least one plane of the opening in which the at least two panels lie in the closed condition.
DEPLOYABLE INDOOR SHELTER
A deployable indoor shelter is disclosed that comprises a deployable shelter that forms a safe zone. When the shelter is withdrawn, it occupies substantially undisturbed indoor space and when the deployable shelter is deployed, the safe zone is confined within at least one wall of the indoor space and the deployable shelter.
INSULATED ARCHITECTURAL COVERING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An apparatus for an architectural opening may include a plurality of panels. At least one of the plurality of panels may include a frame including a plurality of first frame members and a plurality of second frame members sealed together at respective interfaces to define at least one opening. The interfaces may be defined by ends of the first frame members positioned at least partially within respective apertures defined in the second frame members. Each frame member may include an internal cavity, with the apertures fluidically connecting the internal cavities of the frame members. An inset panel may be secured within the at least one opening. One or more hinges may pivotably connect a first panel of the plurality of panels to a second panel of the plurality of panels. The apparatus may be a garage door, an entry door, a window, or a storefront.
LEADING END ASSEMBLIES FOR MOVABLE PARTITIONS HAVING AN ARTICULATED LEAD MEMBER, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Movable partitions may include leading end assemblies comprising an articulated leading member. The articulated leading member may be coupled to a support trolley, and at least one coupling between the articulated leading member and the trolley enables the articulated leading member to move relative to the support trolley. Methods of operating a movable partition include displacing a portion of a leading end assembly to align a majority of at least one surface of the leading end assembly with a portion of an adjacent structure.
Connectors for smart windows
This disclosure provides connectors for smart windows. A smart window may incorporate an optically switchable pane. In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity. Pre-wired spacers improve fabrication efficiency and seal integrity of insulated glass units. Electrical connection systems include those embedded in the secondary seal of the insulated glass unit.
Automatic Door with a Hinged Swinging Partial Door
A door assembly may include a first sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a first doorjamb, a second sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a second door jamb where the first and second sidelites are disposed in a common plane and define a door opening between the first and second sidelites, a first sliding panel, a second sliding panel where the first and second sliding panels are movable from a closed position disposing the first and second sliding panels to block access through the door opening and an open position in which the first sliding panel is proximate the first sidelite and the second sliding panel is proximate the second sidelite, a first partial door panel, and a second partial door panel.
