Sliding door system with dual track assemblies
Example aspects of a sliding door assembly and a method for using a sliding door system are disclosed. The sliding door assembly can comprise a track assembly comprising a track assembly comprising a first track and a second track; a pivot assembly comprising a pivot carriage and a pivot mechanism engaging the pivot carriage, the pivot carriage configured to move along the first track; a locking carriage configured to move along the second track; and a sliding door comprising a door body and a locking pin, the locking pin removably engaging the locking carriage, and the door body configured to pivot at the pivot assembly relative to the track assembly.
COPLANAR BI-FOLD AND SLIDING DOOR
A fenestration unit such as a door operable in a sliding mode and a bi-fold folding mode. Examples include a frame, a first panel, a second panel, and one or more fold hinges releasably pivotally connecting a second side portion of the first panel to a first side portion of the second panel and defining a folding axis. In the sliding mode (1) the fold hinges are configured to disconnect the first and second panels, (2) the first panel is in a closed position with respect to the frame, and (3) the second panel is configured to slide along a path generally parallel to the first panel between a closed position and a sliding open position. In the folding mode (1) the fold hinges are configured to pivotally connect the second side portion of the first panel and the first side portion of the second panel, and (2) the first panel and second panel fold with respect to one another about the folding axis with the first panel pivoting with respect to the frame and the second panel sliding and pivoting with respect to the frame as the first and second panels move between the closed positions and folding open positions.
PASSENGER SEATING WITH MULTI-MODE PRIVACY DOOR
Passenger seating comprises rows of seats with a door assembly at the end of each row for improving a seat occupant's privacy. The door assembly includes a door that slides into and out of a base in a primary mode of operation, and which supports a secondary mode of opening. The secondary mode may involve pivoting on hinges. A latch is provided to prevent the door from being opened routinely in the secondary mode. The door assembly is also capable of retracting with respect to the adjacent seat to improve access.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL WINDOW
A sash (62) of a window opening up to 180 and capable of tilting is mounted onto a fixedly installed frame profile (63) and houses a pair of superimposing sashes that fit tightly therein when in closure position, i.e. an upper stationary sash (65) and a lower movable-divertible sash (64), each of the sashes (64,65) provided with laterally extending shafts (49) for connection with sash (62), roller wheels (50) provided onto the shafts (49) of sash (64) that roll within a predefined path created by insert guide profile members (19) and diverter guide members (66,68) to alternately bring sash (64) in a position of superimposing sash (65) and a position of alignment with the same. Lifting mechanisms (46) provided with a regulatory screw (84) for adjusting the pretension of a spring component thereof and thereby the force required by the user for moving the sash (64) are installed within the vertically extending sides of the sash (62).
Gated barrier with lift lock
The present lift lock is employed on a gate that is swingable and liftable on a first axis. In a first position the lift lock is on the first axis and in a blocking position that prevents the gate from being lifted relative to a barrier having the gate. The lift lock is slideable away from the first position on the axis to a second position away from the axis where the lift lock is in an unblocking position, thereby permitting the gate to be lifted on the axis. The lift lock snaps into and out of the second position.
COOKING APPLIANCE HAVING STOWABLE DOUBLE DOORS
A cooking appliance may have side-by-side, outwardly-opening doors. The doors may be operatively coupled to each other such that they rotate together and also translate together into respective storage slots on either side of an appliance cavity. Translation into the storage slots may include guiding respective roller carriages of the doors along tracks in the storage slots.
Telescoping door with swing clear breakout hinge
A telescoping door system includes a header that spans across a doorway. A trailing jamb and a lead jamb disposed a clear opening distance from the trailing jamb defines a clear opening of the doorway. A sidelite panel is coupled to the trailing jamb by at least one swing clear hinge; the swing clear hinge comprises a fixed gear portion intermeshed with a revolving gear portion. A slow slide panel and a fast slide panel move linearly within the header. The slow and fast slide panels are configured to create a first-sized opening when positioned in the header. The sidelite panel, the slow slide panel, and the fast slide panel are configured to pivot out of the header in a breakout position such that a trailing rail of the sidelite panel is disposed at least partially outside the clear opening and in front of the trailing jamb.
Method and Apparatus for Making a Composite Pipe
A method of making a composite pipe has the steps of (a) providing one or more sources of composite tape, the composite tape being formed of reinforcing fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix; (b) helically winding the composite tape(s) around a cylinder under the application of heat to form a pipe comprising fused, concentric layers of adjacently positioned, helically-wound composite tape; (c) scanning a region where edges of wound composite tape are expected to be, to generate scanning information; (d) controlling the gap between further adjacent windings by (1) using the scanning information to determine wound composite tape edge position(s), and (2) using the determined wound composite tape edge position(s) to adjust the winding process during winding; (e) repeating steps (c) and (d). The invention also relates to a corresponding apparatus for making a composite pipe.
