Framed glass adjustment assemblies
Examples of glass adjustment assemblies arc described. An example glass adjustment assembly includes a locking member and a clamp that includes a base member with side extensions on either side. The example glass adjustment assembly also includes a horizontal connection member. The side extensions of the clamp are to be slidably mounted to the horizontal connection member. The locking member is to be variably attached to the horizontal connection member. The variable attachment is to apply controlled pressure on the base member of the clamp which is transmitted to a glass panel through an adhesive tape. The pressure applied to the glass panel may generate tension in a frame structure, which reduces sag and allows for thin members of the frame structure. In some examples, external hardware can attach to the vertical and/or horizontal connection members.
Glass door apparatus
The invention provides a glass door apparatus with a right and a left glass door leaf (10, 100) and functional end caps (40a, 40b, 240a, 240b), which respectively have a protrusion (52a, 52b, 252a, 252b), which, with respect to a lateral front face of the functional end cap protrudes laterally outwards in a manner at least substantially parallel to a pane face of a glass pane of one glass door leaf as well as away from said glass pane, and/or a cavity (54a, 54b, 254a, 254b) which, with respect to said lateral front face, protrudes laterally inwards in a manner is at least substantially parallel to said pane face and towards said glass pane and which, in the opposite direction, opens laterally outwardly, and wherein, in the closed state of glass door apparatus, the protrusion and/or the cavity is/are overlapped with a complementary counterpiece of the other glass door leaf.
Two piece window edge corner system and method for installation
A break-in resistant window assembly whose components include a window pane having at least a pair of edges and a corner; a frame boarding the window pane; a sheet of polymeric film overlying the pane, a first adhesive layer fixedly interconnecting the pane and the sheet of polymeric film; and a corner assembly which includes a base portion and a cover portion which are able to be mechanically locked to each other to complete a corner assembly. The base portion includes adhesive pads for bonding both to the corner of the window pane and the corner of the window frame. Trim pieces which abut the base portion are also bonded to the window pane and the window frame by adhesive pads. The cover portion is arranged to extend over the abutting ends of the base portion and the trim pieces and thereby conceal any mismatch between those abutting edges.
Press-fit window insert
A press-fit window insert configured to provide secondary protection to an existing window, having a carrier, a fin, and a fastening clip. The carrier includes a substantially rigid framework having channels within the framework configured to securely accept one or more attachments. The fin extends from the carrier and includes a substantially flexible blade extending from a base portion of the fin. The base portion of the fin is configured to interlock the fin to the carrier. The fastening clip includes a substantially rigid brim extending from a base portion of the fastening clip. The base portion of the fastening clip is configured to interlock the fastening clip to the carrier.
Window glazing system
A window system has a window frame that surrounds a window unit. The window frame has a glazing leg with an outer wall and an inner wall. The inner wall forms a J-shaped stem, which forms a J-shaped channel between the inner wall and the outer wall. A first gasket engages with the outer wall, and is maintained in compression between the outer wall and the window unit. Likewise, a second gasket engages with the inner wall, and is maintained in compression between the inner wall and the window unit.
