A method of making a door involves providing a first door facing including a first raised region and a first panel recessed from the first raised region by a first dimension, and securing a first core insert having a thickness equal to the first dimension to the first raised region. A second door facing including a second raised region and a second panel recessed from the second raised region by a second dimension is provided. A second core insert having a thickness equal to the second dimension is secured to the second raised region. A central core component is secured to the first panel and the first core insert after the first core insert has been secured to the first raised region. The second panel and the second core insert are secured to the central core component after the second core insert has been secured to the second raised region.

RAIL VEHICLE DOOR

A door for rail vehicle has a frame-type door main body and covering metal sheets. The door main body is formed of profiled elements, which are connected to each other by way of corner connectors. The covering metal sheets are arranged on two opposite sides of the door main body. The profiled elements are connected to each other exclusively by way of a fixed but releasable connection by the corner connectors. A fire protection material is arranged between at least one covering metal sheet and the frame-type door main body in such a way that the fire resistance and the thermal insulation of the rail vehicle door are increased.

An apparatus and method for forming new and novel portions of a garage door panel. This includes forming at least one decoration into a steel plate section and bonding to it a unique foam core where a mirror image decoration is routed into the foam core to exactly match the decoration. In addition, an aluminum diamond plate sheet with a front surface and a rear surface is bonded to the rear of the foam core. The aluminum diamond plate sheet also includes a sheet of steel affixed to its rear surface which rear surface is bonded to the foam core so that magnetic decorations can be attached to the front of the aluminum diamond plate sheet.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REINFORCING SHEET METAL DOOR ASSEMBLIES

Apparatus and methods are used to reinforce doors on enclosures, including coolers, refrigerators and freezers. Each door, disposed over an opening in the enclosure, includes front, back and edge panels forming an interior space. A plurality of strengthening brackets, each having multiple panels at angles to one another, are positioned within the interior space of the door such that different bracket panels are adjacent respective inner surfaces of the door front, back and edge panels. A pair of door hinges configured to couple the door to a region around the opening in the enclosure, each include fasteners that extend through the edge panel of the door and one of the panels of a respective one of the strengthening brackets. The reinforcing brackets provide protection against forces applied to door panels associated with over-opening against an edge of the enclosure, and chains or cables exerting pulling forces on door panels.

A panel for an overhead sectional door includes an exterior skin on an exterior-facing side of the panel and an interior skin on an interior-facing side of the panel that define a plenum. An insulating material is disposed in the plenum. An upper backer strut is disposed in the plenum proximate a top leading edge of the interior skin and extends across a full length of the panel. A lower backer strut is disposed in the plenum proximate a bottom leading edge of the panel and extends across a full length of the panel. The upper backer strut and the lower backer strut each include first and second strut legs extending into the plenum. The first and second strut legs are spaced from the exterior skin. Hardware is attached to the panel by fastening the hardware to one of the upper backer strut and the lower backer strut.

Insulated reinforced door panel and door frame with thermal break

A metal door frame for a door opening comprising at least one first door frame segment for upper or side portions of the door opening, the at least one first door frame segment having a first molding flange, a first jamb face adjacent to the molding flange, and a first stop flange adjacent to the jamb face. The metal door frame includes at least one second door frame segment for upper and side portions of the door opening, the at least one second door frame segment having a second molding flange, a second jamb face adjacent to the molding flange, a second stop flange adjacent to the jamb face, a second stop face adjacent to the stop flange, and a third stop flange adjacent to the stop face. The metal door frame includes a thermally insulative layer between the first door frame segment and the second door frame segment.

ACOUSTIC STRUCTURAL BUILDING PANELS

Described herein is an acoustic structural panel having a first exposed major surface opposite a second exposed major surface and side surfaces extending between the first and second exposed major surfaces, the acoustic structural panel comprising a first protective layer comprising at least a portion of the first exposed major surface, a second protective layer comprising at least a portion of the second exposed surface, a core structure located between the first and second protective layers, the core structure comprising, a foam body; and a fibrous body, wherein the first major exposed surface of the acoustic structural panel comprises a plurality of apertures exposing the fibrous body.

Decorative SMC Door Facing and Method of Making Same

The invention discloses a one-piece molded SMC door facing with a decorative strip and preparation process thereof. The door facing body and the decorative strip made of the same SMC are molded into the one-piece door facing by a molding process at one time. At least two decorative lattices (windows) are formed by the decorative strips. The invention solves the traditional process of artificially adhering decorative strips, with high quality and high production efficiency, and a single mold investment can generate huge economic benefits. At the same time, the decorative strip and the door facing are molded by the same SMC, which eliminates the color difference between the decorative strips and the door facing. There is no longer any gap between the decorative the strips or between decorative strip and the door glass sticking; the products produced by this preparation process have good strength and no deformation.

DOOR SYSTEM WITH DUAL SEALING ELEMENTS

A high-performance door system is provided. The door system comprising a door leaf having a framework which includes first and second stiles spaced apart from each other, a first rail joining a first end of the first stile with a first end of the second stile, and a second rail joining a second end of the first stile with a second end of the second stile. The first rail is provided with a groove, and each one of the stiles comprises an inner channel, each inner channel being in fluid communication with the groove. The door leaf further comprises a housing defining a hollow space which is then injected with filler material so as to fill the hollow space and the groove, thereby spreading to each one of the inner channels, thus sealing interstices between the rail and stiles.
