Electromagnetic door opener
The invention relates to an electromagnetic door opener comprising a housing for installing in a door frame, a pivotable cover which can be rotated between an open position and a closed position, and a security device operating counter to a forced rotation of the cover from the closed position into the open position, which comprises a primary security step and a secondary security step. Said door opener is characterized in that the secondary security step comprises a locking element which is supported in a form fit on the base of the housing of the door opener housing.
Two piece window edge corner system and method for installation
A break-in resistant window assembly whose components include a window pane having at least a pair of edges and a corner; a frame boarding the window pane; a sheet of polymeric film overlying the pane, a first adhesive layer fixedly interconnecting the pane and the sheet of polymeric film; and a corner assembly which includes a base portion and a cover portion which are able to be mechanically locked to each other to complete a corner assembly. The base portion includes adhesive pads for bonding both to the corner of the window pane and the corner of the window frame. Trim pieces which abut the base portion are also bonded to the window pane and the window frame by adhesive pads. The cover portion is arranged to extend over the abutting ends of the base portion and the trim pieces and thereby conceal any mismatch between those abutting edges.
Anti-Theft and Prying-Resistant Door
The utility model provides an anti-theft and prying-resistant door, which comprises a door plate and a door frame. The door plate and the door frame are rotatably connected through a hinge. The edge of the door plate is fixedly provided with a lug. The door frame is provided with a groove. The groove is provided with an opening through which the lug enters. The lug is capable of being fit in the groove when the door plate and the door frame are closed. In this way, when the anti-theft and prying-resistant door is closed, the lug may be fixed in the groove in the corresponding position. The edge of the lug between the lug and the groove is capable of being in contact with the edge of the groove.
SECURITY DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY
A security door hinge assembly is provided, comprising a door frame structure, having at least a head member, a first jamb member and a second jamb member, and at least one door leaf. The door leaf further comprises a leaf frame structure, having at least a top rail member, a bottom rail member, a hinge stile member and a lock stile member; an inner leaf panel, mounted to a first side of said leaf frame structure and extending past said hinge stile member, so as to form an inner leaf flange; an outer leaf panel, mounted to a second side of said leaf frame structure, opposite said first side, and extending past said hinge stile member, so as to form an outer leaf flange, and wherein, in use, said door leaf is operable between a first closed position and a second open position. The security door hinge assembly further comprises a hinge chamber positioned between said first jamb member and said hinge stile; a hinge-mount bracket, coupled to said first jamb member; a hinge mechanism, having at least one pivot axis and which is located within said open hinge chamber and adapted to pivotally mount said door leaf to said hinge-mount bracket, and wherein, in said first closed position, said inner leaf flange is in an exteriorly overlapping engagement with at least a portion of said hinge mount bracket, so as to prevent access to said hinge mechanism.
Uplift Prevention Device
It is the object of the present invention to provide a sliding frame-mounted window uplift prevention device with improved structural integrity and strength, improved ease of installation and removal through elimination of mechanical fasteners such as screws, rivets, and the like, and compatibility with a wider variety of frame designs than existing devices.
DOOR REINFORCEMENT APPARATUS AND KIT
In one aspect, the disclosure relates to an apparatus that can be installed on an existing door to provide improved security. The apparatus comprises a first and a second door bracket that is installed on the interior and exterior surface of a door, respectively, that together increase the strength of the door in the region near the door handle and/or deadbolt. The apparatus also comprises a door frame bar that is installed on the door frame opposing a vertical outside edge of a door. The apparatus also comprises one or more door hinge bars that are mounted on the interior surface of the door near one or more door hinges. The apparatus may further comprise a reinforcing bar. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
DOOR WITH SUPPLEMENTARY HINGE-SIDE ENGAGEMENT
A door or window assembly includes an opening bounded by a frame including a hinge jamb (12). A panel (18) is hung relative to the hinge jamb via a hinge arrangement (20) so as to swing between an open position and a closed position. An engagement configuration includes a ledge (22) located in fixed relation to the hinge jamb, and a flange (24) rigidly associated with the panel. The engagement configuration allows me panel to swing freely between open and closed positions. in the closed position, the flange (24) is brought into facing relation with the ledge (22) such that force directed to displace the panel (18) within the plane of closure away from the hinge jamb (12) acts to bring the flange into engagement with the ledge.
DOOR/JAMB REINFORCING KIT AND FRAME INTEGRATING SAME
A reinforcing kit for a door having latching and locking mechanisms and door/jamb and frame having hinges therein includes a elongated door plates, elongated plates for doorjamb, hinge cover plates and reinforcing pins.
