HARDWARE PREPARATION FILLER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FIRE RATED DOORS
A method and system for achieving compliance for a fire-rated door assembly. To comply with fire rated door assembly codes and compliance, all components, including hardware must be listed and labeled by a certification agency, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL). The disclosure may include a hardware preparation filler solution which allows fire-rated doors to maintain fire rating and compliance when removing or modifying hardware, or converting between hardware types.
Patch fitting
A patch fitting for a fire-retardant glass door is disclosed herein. The patch fitting comprises a support sandwiched between a first layer of fire retardant material on a first side of the support and a second layer of fire retardant material on an opposing second side of the support. The support comprises a first attachment means for attaching to a first pane of glass of the fire-retardant glass door on the first side of the support, and a second attachment means for attaching to a second pane of glass of the first-retardant glass door on the opposing second side of the support. The patch fitting is configured, in use, to be at least partially sandwiched between the two layers of glass of the firm-retardant glass door.
DOOR, WINDOW, OR FACADE ELEMENT AND FITTING ARRANGEMENT FOR SUCH AN ELEMENT
A window, door, or facade element includes an outer frame composed of out frame bars and a leaf frame composed of leaf frame bars. One or more of the outer frame bars and/or of the leaf frame bars has/have at least the following features: a base profile, on which two fastening grooves that are open in the same direction are formed for fixing a corresponding fastener of a fitting arrangement, which bridges the intermediate space between the fastening grooves. The two fastening grooves have at least one latch for at least one counterpart latch, which can be attached without tools, of a fitting part arrangement. The fitting arrangement has a functional fitting on a fitting plate and at least one support element for supporting the fitting. The support element is designed for direct or indirect latching in the fastening grooves by means of the counterpart latch.
Fire Protection Retrofits for High-Rise Buildings
Buildings, particularly high-rise buildings, are retrofitted with a fire resistant liquid-applied material, preferably a material that intumesces with heat, where the exterior of the building is formed of metal clad combustible foam composite panels. Once the fire resistant coating has been applied, new thin panels matching the original fascia are installed outside the original composite panels, with space between, so that the appearance of the building is maintained.
Fire Rated Door
A fire rated door includes a core, a first decorative panel and a second decorative panel. The core includes: (a) a fire resistant center panel having a bottom, a top, a first side, a second side, a first end and a second end, wherein the fire resistant center panel is made of a first fire resistant material, and (b) an extruded fire resistant border attached to the first side, the second side, the first end and the second end of the fire resistant center panel, wherein the extruded fire resistant border is made of a second fire resistant material having a higher density than the first fire resistant material. The first decorative panel is attached to the top of the fire resistant center panel and the extruded fire resistant border. The second decorative panel is attached to the bottom of the fire resistant center panel and the extruded fire resistant border.

Fire door
A door body includes a door main body, an upper guided portion provided to an upper portion of the door main body, and a lower guided portion provided to a lower portion of the door main body. A guide member includes an upper guide portion, a lower guide portion, and a restricting portion. The upper guide portion supports the upper guided portion from below while restricting movement of the upper guided portion along the fore and aft direction. The lower guide portion supports the lower guided portion from below while restricting movement of the lower guided portion along the fore and aft direction. The upper guided portion is moved upwardly away from the upper guide portion in the expanded support state. The restricting portion restricts movement of the door main body in the first direction in the expanded support state, and restricts movement of the door main body in the second direction in the expanded support state.
Edge guard and end cap system for a fire door assembly
An edge guard system for use with a fire door assembly to installed on a fire door is disclosed. The edge guard system includes a U-shaped channel edge guard that is sized and configured to fit over and to be secured to at least on edge of a fire door. The edge guard includes a first part of a fastener assembly to fasten an end cap to at least one end of the edge guard. The edge guard system also includes at least one end cap sized and configured to fit and be fastened to one end of the edge guard. The end cap includes a second part of the fastener assembly.
