FIRE RESISTANT GLAZING UNIT
20200040570 · 2020-02-06 ·

Fire resistant glazing units, processes for the manufacture of such fire resistant glazing units, the use of fire resistant glazing units in construction, and constructions comprising such glazing units. A fire resistant glazing unit may include two panes of glass which are arranged together with a seal to enclose a fire-resistant interlayer. The seal is adapted to breach in the event of a fire causing increased pressure between the panes, releasing pressure before it can build up and cause a pane to break in an unfavourable manner.

BUTT JOINT GLAZING

A transparent safety panel for producing resistant, surface flush butt joint glazing, including two plates and a receiving profile. The two plates are spaced apart from each other and are arranged substantially parallel to each other. The safety panel has an abutting end side and a mounting end side extending at a right angle from the abutting end side. The mounting end side can be mounted in the frame and permit fixing of the safety panel in the frame. The receiving profile is arranged between the spaced apart plates in a border region in the vicinity of the abutting end side. The receiving profile forms an open groove towards the abutting end side. A further safety panel can be connected to the safety panel in a surface flush manner without an additional frame via the abutting end side of the safety panel with the groove.

Fire protection glazing and method for producing a fire protection glazing

The fire-protection glazing includes at least two glass panes, between which a transparent layer of a fire-protection layer is arranged, wherein the fire-protection layer includes a hydrogel. The educts of the fire-protection layer include water-soluble, non-toxic monofunctional monomers in an acid environment as well as at least one bifunctional or polyfunctional monomer and, as the case may be, an initiator, in an aqueous salt solution or in an aqueous salt dispersion. The monofunctional and the bifunctional or polyfunctional monomers are not toxic, not carcinogenic and not mutagenic.

Fire-resistant pane and fire-resistant glazing assembly

A fire-resistant pane including at least one float glass pane with a tin bath side, at least one protective layer that is arranged on the tin bath side in a planar manner, and at least one fire-resistant layer that is arranged on the protective layer in a planar manner, wherein the protective layer contains metal oxide, metal nitride, metal silicide, and/or mixtures or layered compounds thereof.

Fire Under Glass Display

The invention provides a fire-resistant glazing that is less susceptible to failure, a method of manufacturing a fire-resistant glazing, and the use of a fire-resistant glazing, the fire-resistant glazing including a glazing edge wherein at least one area of the glazing edge comprises a weakened primary sealant portion and/or a weakened secondary sealant portion.

FIRE-BLAST RESISTANT WINDOW ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR INSTALLING THE SAME

The invention relates to a fire and blast resistant window assembly, comprising a frame adapted to be built into a window aperture, a glazing system and a front insulating glass unit. The assembly is characterized in that the front insulating glass unit is mounted on the frame such that a thermal break is formed therebetween, the frame contains a metal framework, which delimits a mounting aperture for the glazing system, wherein separator plates are welded to the framework, along the perimeter thereof, with spaces between the separator plates, and the glazing system comprises a first and a second glazing unit. Each of the glazing units comprises a support profile and a glazing sheet, which is inserted in the support profile and clamped thereto from the inside by glazing beads, wherein a thermal break is formed therebetween.

Single glass panel for fire door and double glazed glass panel for fire door

A single glass panel for a fire door and a double glazed glass panel for a fire door that have a fireproofness with which the glass sheet passes an international standard ISO 0834 flame insulating performance test and are as inexpensive as possible. For example, the single glass panel for a fire door is obtained by forming a heat reflecting coating with a low emissivity on at least one surface of a glass sheet that is a heat strengthened glass sheet or is more thermally strengthened than a heat strengthened glass sheet, and the double glazed glass panel for a fire door includes a first glass sheet (2B) obtained by forming a heat reflecting coating (4) with an emissivity of 0.07 or less on at least one surface of a glass sheet that is a heat strengthened glass sheet or is more thermally strengthened than a heat strengthened glass sheet and a second glass sheet (2C) that is a heat strengthened glass sheet or is a glass sheet more thermally strengthened than a heat strengthened glass sheet, the first glass sheet (2B) and the second glass sheet (2C) being arranged to face each other with a gap therebetween such that at least one layer of said heat reflecting coating (4) is placed between the two glass sheets (2B) and (2C).
