Needle changing apparatus

An apparatus is disclosed for storing and changing needles for connection with a medicament delivery device, comprising an inner housing, a reservoir disposed within the inner housing, and a needle holder disposed within the inner housing, for fluidly connecting a medicament container of the medicament delivery device with the reservoir. The apparatus also includes a plurality of patient needles displaceably disposed on the needle holder, and an outer housing displaceably disposed about the inner housing and providing a user interface to individually select one of the plurality of patient needles, connect the selected needle with the reservoir, expose the selected needle outside of the apparatus for injection, and store the selected needle.

Sampling module device and method

A medicament injection device includes a device body portion that includes a penetrating member channel. A penetrating member is provided with a sharpened distal tip and shaft portion that is slidably disposed within the penetrating channel to provide for a penetrating to travel in a linear axial movement. A pierceable membrane isolates a penetrating member in an associated penetrating member chamber. A medicament reservoir is in fluid communication with the penetrating member. The medicament reservoir is configured to house a medicament and is coupled to the penetrating member to allow for delivery of medicament to a tissue site.

A needle magazine (1, 100) attachable to an injection device containing a liquid drug and which magazine (1, 100) comprises a main part (10, 110) and revolving part (20, 120) which can be rotated to bring a selected needle cannula (35, 135) into an injection position. The magazine (1, 100) is provided with a centrally located tube (13, 113) for penetrating into the injection device and has an internal conduit (14, 114, 115) for guiding the liquid drug from the tube (13, 113) and to a peripheral area of the magazine (1, 100). In this peripheral area a plurality of needle cannulae (35, 135) are provided which needle cannulae (35, 135) successively can be brought into liquid communication with the liquid drug in the conduit (14, 114, 115) by axial movement of the revolving part (20, 120).

Needle Changing Apparatus

A needle changing device for use on a medication delivery device includes an engagement element that is configured to engage the medication delivery device and pierce a septum of the medication delivery device, a needle holder connected to the engagement element, the needle holder having a needle changing septum having a reservoir, the reservoir being in continuous fluid communication with the engagement element, and a plurality of needles configured to pierce the needle changing septum, wherein when the needle holder is in a first position, the plurality of needles are disengaged from the reservoir of the needle changing septum, and when the needle holder is in a second position, one of the plurality of needles enters into fluid communication with the reservoir of the needle changing septum and is partially exposed outside the needle changing device for medicament delivery.

Autoinjector

Described is a cartridge comprising a case adapted to detachably engage an autoinjector, an ampoule containing a medicament, and a needle magazine containing a plurality of double-tipped needle assemblies. An autoinjector comprises the cartridge, a housing adapted to detachably engage the cartridge and a user interface adapted to provide visual, audible or tactile feedback.

The present disclosure relates to drug-delivery apparatuses, and in particular, to a drug-delivery apparatus with a fluidic subsystem that can be used to deliver multiple injections to a patient from a drug container storing a drug fluid. The fluidic subsystem may include multiple injection-needle compartments and re-sealable septa to allow multiple accesses to the drug container, while also preserving the sterility of the drug fluid and of the fluid pathway through which the fluid is delivered to a patient. In some embodiments, the fluidic subsystem may be used to deliver drug fluids that do not contain any preservatives (e.g., non-preserved drugs).
