ROLLING DOOR GUIDE AREA HEATING METHOD AND SYSTEM
A system for heating a door guide area includes: a first and second conduit for channeling a flow of heated air; a heater fluidly connected to the first conduit and configured to provide air to the first and second conduits; first and second openings providing fluid communication between the first and second conduits to allow the air to circulate through the first and second conduits; a heat transfer wall part of the second conduit, to transfer heat from the flow of heated air in the second direction to a space outside of the second conduit that is defined, in part, by the heat transfer wall; and two side supports connected to the heat transfer wall, the side supports located opposing each other and dimensioned and located along with the heat transfer wall to form three sides to encompass a portion of a roll-up door.
RETRACTABLE CURTAIN PANEL WITH TRACK GUIDE
According to some aspects, provided are curtain assemblies comprising two or more curtains selectably moveable between an open position and a closed position. Some embodiments include a track guide for at least one of the curtains having a first track and second track insert coupled to respective sides of the track guide and the curtain, wherein the curtain is moveably coupled to the first and second track inserts, and moveable along the channel of operation during transition between the open and the closed position. The curtains can be configured to define an air pocket that improved the energy efficiency of the curtain assembly (e.g., improving heat and/or noise properties). Some embodiments include a roller guide to maintain spacing between the curtains and can define a boundary of the air pocket.
SMOKE SCREEN APPARATUS WITH MANUAL EGRESS CAPABILITY
This disclosure relates generally to a smoke screen apparatus for shielding humans from harmful exposure to smoke, noxious fumes, or contaminated air. For safety reasons the smoke screen must allow for manual egress through the screen using a release mechanism that can automatically recover to the protective state after egress.
Roller shutter
A roller shutter includes a chamber with an opening, a roller curtain movable between being fully contained within the chamber and extended beyond the chamber through the opening, and at least one guide rail along and relative to which the roller curtain is movable between being retracted and extended, wherein the roller curtain includes a plurality of slat members interlocked with each other for relative pivotal movement, the plurality of slat members collectively forming first and second major surfaces, and a first layer of fire-resistant and/or heat-resistant fabric fixedly mounted to the first major surface of the slat members and a second layer of fire-resistant and/or heat-resistant fabric fixedly mounted to the second major surface of the slat members, and wherein the guide rail includes at least a first sealing member which, when the roller curtain is extended, contacts or presses into the first layer of fire-resistant and/or heat-resistant fabric.
RETRACTABLE MATERIAL ENCLOSURE SYSTEM
A retractable material enclosure system that can be custom fit to provide a secondary barrier within an opening that is unobtrusive when not in use. The retractable material enclosure system may be used with different types of materials that are capable of being rolled about and retained on a cylinder or other drum type member when they are not extracted and in use. The retractable material enclosure system is particularly useful for providing a custom fit retractable screen door that fits within single or double door opening.
ROLLER ASSEMBLY AND SCREEN END RETENTION FEATURES FOR A HIDDEN SCREEN ASSEMBLY AND A FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY
A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly. The sash includes at least one magnet. The sash is slideably engaged with the frame. The at least one screen assembly includes a roller assembly, a control bar, and screen material attached to the roller assembly and the control bar. The roller assembly is substantially hidden from view. The control bar includes a ferromagnetic material. The screen assembly is configured to apply tension to the screen material to wind the screen material around the roller assembly and to permit the screen material to unwind from the roller assembly under a tension applied to move the control bar away from the roller assembly. The control bar automatically engages the at least one magnet of the sash when the sash is in the closed configuration to attach the control bar to the sash.
SCREEN EDGE RETENTION AND SCREEN RETHREADING FEATURES FOR A HIDDEN SCREEN ASSEMBLY AND A FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY
A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly mounted in at least one of: the top portion and the bottom portion. The frame includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two jambs forming first slots extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the jamb. The first slots each include a screen edge retention feature. The screen assembly includes a roller assembly substantially hidden from view, a screen material attached to the roller assembly, and a plurality of raised features. Edges of the screen material extend into the first slots. The raised features are attached to each of the edges of the screen material. The raised features are configured to engage the screen edge retention features and retain each of the edges of the screen material at least partially within the first slot of each of the two jambs.
Insulated fire panel shutter
Fire can spread extremely quickly within structures. To prevent this, fire doors or fire shutters are usually installed. However, security aspects of such doors or shutters are not renown. An attempt to alleviate this problem may be provided by an insulated fire panel shutter including a guide, adapted to receive a shutter and having one or more retractable members moveable between a retracted and extended position; a shutter, moveable between an open and closed position and formed from a plurality of panels each of which is moveable between a stowed and deployed position; their arrangement being such that as the guide receives the shutter during shutter closure, the panel arrangement alters from a stowed side by side relationship to a deployed stacked end to end relationship.
Integrated multi-function window
The present invention discloses an integrated multi-function window in the technical field of building material, which overcomes the disadvantages of the existing windows, including complicated structures and time, labor and cost consuming double constructions. The integrated multi-function window includes a first window frame having a first window. A first window cover is mounted at the upper part of the first window frame and first telescopic curtain cloth is located within the first window cover. One side of the first window frame is fixedly connected to the second window frame having a second window. The position of the second window is corresponding to that of the first window. The integrated multi-function window has a simple configuration and multiple functions and is of a low cost and improved reliability.
