Anchoring device and method for installation
A system and method for creating an anchoring device that attaches between two nearby surfaces that may be oriented at different angles to each other about a vertical axis is described. The anchoring device includes a first and second support base that are fastened to a support surface, and a cross member that extends between the support bases and is pivotable about a vertical axis with respect to the support bases. The cross member may be adjustable in length. The anchoring device can be used to support an end of a plank to make a platform. The other end of the plank may be supported by a second anchoring device or another support surface.
Ladder, wide rung and method
A ladder having a first rail and a second rail. The ladder having a standard rung having a width permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a first wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung, which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a second wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The first wide rung and the second wide rung are disposed in a work zone of the ladder. The work zone of the ladder is where a user typically stands on the ladder while performing tasks. The standard rung is disposed outside the work zone. A wide rung. A method for using a ladder. A method for producing a ladder.
LADDER RUNG CAP FOR USE WITH OPEN ENDED LADDER RUNGS FOR NOISE REDUCTION AND SAFETY
A ladder rung accessory assembly includes first and second caps have a respective base that is shaped to cover respective rung openings of a selected rung of an extension ladder to reduce acoustic noise during transport. Each cap includes a guide member that is received in the respective opening to position the attached base. Channels formed through the bases and guide members are shaped to receive a cable tie passing through each cap and the selected rung. The first cap is held against the ladder by a head of the cable tie and the second cap is held against the ladder by an internal pawl locking mechanism of the second cap that ratchets against a toothed tape section of the cable tie.
Assembled Ladder
An assembled ladder includes two supporting leg assemblies, at least one rung and a bridging part, wherein each supporting leg assembly of the two supporting leg assemblies includes a front supporting leg and a rear supporting leg rotatably connected to the front supporting leg, and the at least one rung and the bridging part are detachably connected between the two supporting leg assemblies. During logistics transportation, the at least one rung is detached from the two supporting leg assemblies, the bridging part is also detached from the two supporting leg assemblies, and the two supporting leg assemblies are stacked. In use, two ends of the bridging part are fixedly connected to the two supporting leg assemblies, and two ends of the at least one rung are also fixedly connected to the two supporting leg assemblies.
Ladder with box rails having a collar
A ladder having a right box rail having an outer web with an outer opening and an inner web with an inner opening. The ladder having a left box rail in parallel and spaced relation with the right box rail. The ladder comprises a hollow collar disposed in between the inner opening of the inner web and the outer opening of the outer web. The collar having a stem having a plurality of segments. The segments separated by slots. The ladder having a first rung attached to the right and left box rails. The first rung having a right end that extends through the outer opening, the collar and the inner opening. A method for using a ladder by a user. A method for forming a ladder.
Extendable / retractable ladder
An extendable/retractable ladder assembly includes a first stile and a second stile and a plurality of rungs extending therebetween. Each stile may comprise a plurality of columns disposed in a nested arrangement for relative axial movement in a telescopic fashion. A connector assembly connects the rungs to respective columns in the first and second stiles. The ladder has improved manufacturability since connector assemblies may be assembled before connecting the rungs to respective columns. The standing surface of the rungs may be angled such that it is rotated towards horizontal when the ladder assembly is leaned against a wall. A latch assembly may be used to selectively lock relative axial movement between adjacent columns. The latch assembly includes a locking pin assembly comprised of a central post and an outer metal sleeve. An air damper may also be used to control airflow through the columns.
RESCUE LADDER ATTACHMENT
An attachment for a ladder includes a pair of rung tubes for engaging the hollow rungs of a ladder secured together by at least one end tube.
Box rail backup and method
A ladder having a first box rail having a first side, and a second side extending perpendicularly from the first side. The first side having a first hole. The second side having a first hole in alignment with the first hole of the first side. The ladder having a second box rail, at least a portion of which is in parallel and spaced relation with the first box rail. The ladder comprises a first hollow tube disposed in the first box rail in alignment with the first hole of the first side and the first hole of the third side. The ladder comprises a bracket having a first bracket hole in alignment with the first hole of the first side. The ladder comprises a first fastener extending through the first hole of the third side, the first hollow tube, the first hole of the first side and the first hole of the bracket which attaches the bracket to the first box rail. A method for using a ladder. A method for producing a ladder.
