INTERMEDIATE RUNG APPARATUS FOR A LADDER
An intermediate rung apparatus for use with a ladder includes a first hook, legs, and an intermediate rung. The first hook is configured to extend over a rung of the ladder and couple the intermediate rung apparatus to the ladder. The intermediate rung apparatus also includes legs extending from the first hook. The legs are configured to extend in a downward direction substantially parallel to vertical supports of the ladder when the intermediate rung apparatus is coupled to the ladder. The intermediate rung apparatus further includes an intermediate rung connected to the legs and configured to extend in a direction substantially parallel to the rung of the ladder when the intermediate rung apparatus is coupled to the ladder. In some embodiments, a mount may be used to support the intermediate rung apparatus and/or the ladder.
PLATFORMS FOR TEMPORARY STRUCTURES AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLING THE SAME
A platform (10) comprising two or more ladders (20, 30), of the type having stiles (25, 26) and rungs (40), releasably attachable together in a side-by-side arrangement such that the rungs of each ladder are in the same plane, at least two of the rungs on each ladder being hollow, the platform further comprising a first elongate member (50) arranged to pass through co-axially positioned hollow rungs of each ladder, the first elongate member comprising a widened portion at one end thereof, and a releasable locking member (60) at the other end thereof, to releasably clamp the ladders together, the platform further comprising at least one deck plate (110) arrangeable on the rungs of one of the two or more ladders to form a deck.
LOCKING ASSEMBLY FOR A TELESCOPING LADDER
Embodiments include a telescoping ladder with a plurality of columns and rungs. The ladder can have a plurality of locking assemblies for locking adjacent columns to a rung thereby restricting relative sliding motion between adjacent columns. The locking assembly can have a locking button positionable against the rung front surface and rotatable with respect thereto between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking assembly can have a locking pin positioned within the rung and slidable between an extended position and a retracted position along a locking pin axis generally perpendicular to the rotational axis. The locking assembly can have a connector pin extending in a direction parallel to the rotational axis, for connecting the locking button to the locking pin such that rotation of the locking button about the rotational axis slides the locking pin about the locking pin axis.
Ladder, Wide Rung and Method
A ladder having a first rail and a second rail. The ladder having a standard rung having a width permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a first wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung, which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a second wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The first wide rung, and the second wide rung are disposed in a work zone of the ladder. The work zone of the ladder is where a user typically stands on the ladder while performing tasks. The standard rung is disposed outside the work zone. A wide rung. A method for using a ladder. A method for producing a ladder.
EXTENDABLE / RETRACTABLE LADDER
An extendable/retractable ladder assembly includes a first stile and a second stile and a plurality of rungs extending therebetween. Each stile may comprise a plurality of columns disposed in a nested arrangement for relative axial movement in a telescopic fashion. A connector assembly connects the rungs to respective columns in the first and second stiles. The ladder has improved manufacturability since connector assemblies may be assembled before connecting the rungs to respective columns. The standing surface of the rungs may be angled such that it is rotated towards horizontal when the ladder assembly is leaned against a wall. A latch assembly may be used to selectively lock relative axial movement between adjacent columns. The latch assembly includes a locking pin assembly comprised of a central post and an outer metal sleeve. An air damper may also be used to control airflow through the columns.

The ladder having a first wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung, which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a second wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung, which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The first wide rung and the second wide rung are disposed in a work zone of the ladder. The work zone of the ladder is where a user typically stands on the ladder while performing tasks. Ladder with wide rung
A ladder having a first rail and a second rail. The ladder having a standard rung having a width permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The ladder having a first wide rung having a width greater than the width of the standard rung, which is permanently attached to the first rail and the second rail. The standard rung is disposed outside the work zone.
Ladder with lights
The ladder illuminates the immediate area and itself. The ladder improves safety by strategically adding multiple light sources to the ladder, thereby illuminating the areas around the ladder. Light emitting diodes (LEDs) may be mounted in several strategic locations, including: in-board and out-board of the end cap, under each rung, and out-board on both rails facing the base of the building when the ladder is correctly placed with a rechargeable battery supply.
