Folding ladder with brace-locking apparatus
A brace locking mechanism locks the foldable braces of a folding ladder in the open position. The brace locking mechanism is used with a ladder that has a stepped unit and a support unit foldably attached to the stepped unit with a foldable brace extending between the stepped unit and the support unit. The brace locking mechanism comprises a lock block that is movable between a locked position in which the lock block prevents the foldable braces from moving out of their open position when the ladder is open, and an unlocked position in which the ladder may be folded into the storage position.
VEHICLE-MOUNTED ELEVATED ACCESS SYSTEM
A vehicle-mounted access system includes a fixed base structure including a plurality of track channels; a plurality of movable hinge carriages configured to move along the plurality of track channels; an inclinable access structure pivotably connected to the movable hinge points and connected to lifting masts by forward tension elements, lifting masts connected to the fixed base structure by rear tension elements and pivotably connected to the fixed base structure; an actuator connected between the movable hinge carriages and the fixed base structure, the actuator configured to move the movable hinge carriages to raise the distal end of the inclinable access structure via the forward tension elements, the lifting mast, and the rear tension elements.
Work stand configurable for different work areas
A mobile work stand for working on work areas including a fence. The fence includes a plurality of adjacent first and second fence sections that are pivotally connected to each other to enable the fence to be configurable in different fence positions. Each fence position is configured to enclose a different configured work area.
TELESCOPING STEP LADDER SAFETY HAND RAILS AND BEAM
A telescoping safety hand rail and beam for step ladders. The invention consists of two upright telescopic rails and a telescopic horizontal beam and tray. The tray includes a container, various pass-through openings for holding tools, a paint can hook and a pass through orifice to accept the horizontal beams to allow telescopic movement. The inner rails extend upwards from the fixed outer rails and latch in place at the top and middle of the telescoping travel range. This advantageously allows the utilization of all steps of a ladder by providing a supplemental knee brace and eliminates the dangerous opportunity to stand unbraced on any step of a ladder. The invention is mounted to a step ladder with strategically placed lap hooks and double sided mounting tape.
STABILITY SYSTEM FOR A FIRE APPARATUS
A vehicle includes a chassis, a front axle coupled to a front end of the chassis, a rear axle coupled to a rear end of the chassis, a pair of front downriggers coupled to the front end of the chassis forward of the front axle, a pair of rear downriggers coupled to the rear end of the chassis rearward of the rear axle, and an outrigger assembly coupled to the chassis between the front axle and the rear axle. The pair of front downriggers is selectively extendable to engage a ground surface. The pair of rear downriggers is selectively extendable to engage the ground surface. The outrigger assembly includes a pair of outriggers that are selectively extendable laterally outward at an angle relative to a horizontal.
ADJUSTABLE LADDER AND STAIR SYSTEM
An adjustable ladder and stair system has a folding stair assembly including a ladder-member having a first-end, a second-end, a plurality of rungs equidistantly spaced between a first-rail and a second-rail, and a securer, a stair-member having a stair-portion, a first-rail-slide-mechanism, a second-rail-slide-mechanism, a first-rail-locking-mechanism, and a second-rail-locking-mechanism. The ladder-member may be secured in a vertical position parallel to a substantially vertical item desired to be ascended via the securer. The stair-member is adjustable to accommodate a desired angle. The folding stair assembly provides an apparatus for safely accessing a substantially vertical item desired to be ascended such as a roll off garbage bins.
Modular ladder system
A modular ladder system includes a first ladder module comprising a first plurality of ladder steps; a second ladder module comprising a second plurality of ladder steps; and a ladder base, the modular ladder system is configurable in an unassembled configuration and an assembled configuration; wherein: in the unassembled configuration, the first ladder module is detached from the second ladder module and the first and second ladder modules are stacked on the ladder base; and in the assembled configuration, the first ladder module is coupled to the ladder base and the second ladder module is attached to the first ladder module opposite the ladder base to define a ladder extending upward from the ladder base.
