INTEGRATED CLOSED-LOOP ARTIFICIAL PANCREAS AND DATA OBTAINING METHOD FOR PROGRAM MODULE THEREOF
An integrated closed-loop artificial pancreas includes: a detection module; a program module which is imported into the total daily dose algorithm and the current insulin infusion algorithm; and an infusion module which is connected to the program module. The infusion module includes an infusion tube which is used as the insulin infusion channel, the detecting electrodes are provided on/in the wall of the infusion tube, and the infusion module can infuse insulin required according to the data of the current insulin infusion dose. It takes only one insertion to perform both glucose detection and insulin infusion.
FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Fluid management systems used, for example, in endoscopic procedures.
Syringe pump and related method
A syringe pump includes a lead screw, a motor, and a sliding block assembly. The lead screw has threads and the motor is coupled to the lead screw to rotate it. The half-nut housing has a half nut and a barrel cam. The half nut is disposed within the half-nut housing. The half nut has half-nut threads at an end adjacent to the lead screw void. The half nut engages or disengages with the threads of the lead screw. The half nut includes a half-nut cam-follower surface and a half nut slot. The barrel cam is disposed within the half-nut housing and engages with the half-nut cam-follower surface. The barrel cam includes a pin to fit within the half nut slot such that the barrel cam rotates between a first position and a second position to actuate the half nut between the engagement position and the disengagement position, respectively.
Medication fluid infusion set component with integrated physiological analyte sensor, and corresponding fluid infusion device
Disclosed is a medical device component for delivering medication fluid to a patient. The medical device component includes a fluid infusion device to regulate delivery of medication fluid, a body-mountable base unit, and a top cover assembly that is removably couplable to the base unit and to the fluid infusion device. The base unit includes a cannula to deliver medication fluid under the control of the fluid infusion device, and a physiological analyte sensor to measure a physiological characteristic. The base unit also includes an electronics assembly electrically connected to sensor leads to obtain measurements in the analog domain, to convert measurements into digital sensor data, and to communicate conditioned digital sensor data to the fluid infusion device. The top cover assembly is configured to provide both fluid and electrical connections for the base unit, by way of an infusion tube having sensor conductors integrated therein or otherwise associated therewith.
CLOSED SYSTEM ELASTOMERIC PUMPING MECHANISM
A medicinal infusion system includes a safety valve for isolating residual medication by providing a single point of fluidic disconnect to encapsulate a residual fluid volume prone to spillage. The safety valve couples a medicinal repository such as an infusion pump to a medicinal supply, typically from a syringe or tubing. The safety valve includes a resilient, deformable, or hinged surface for isolating and sealing the medicinal flow to eliminate and/or isolate any residual volume in tubing and connectors. The isolating surface accommodates an inserted fitting or coupling for allowing the medicinal flow to fill the infusion pump. Upon disconnection, fluids on either side of the safety valve are therefore isolated on the respective fill or source sides, and residual volume prone to spillage is eliminated.
COUPLING ELEMENT FOR A CLOSED FLUID TRANSFER SYSTEM, COUNTER COUPLING ELEMENT FOR A COUPLING ELEMENT OF THIS TYPE, AND COUPLING SYSTEM
A coupling member for a closed fluid transfer system includes a housing having a fluid connection and a coupling side. The housing includes a longitudinal axis extending from the fluid connection toward the coupling side and a spike having a fluid opening. The fluid opening is arranged in an end portion of the spike facing the coupling side. A sealing member receptacle is arranged in the housing on the coupling side, and a sealing member is arranged in the sealing member receptacle. The housing includes a housing portion that at least partially surrounds the sealing member receptacle and a threaded portion. The coupling housing with the sealing member is guided by a guiding structure and movable in the direction of the longitudinal axis via the threaded portion between a position with maximum distance to the fluid connection and a position with minimum distance to the fluid connection.
Systems and Components for Regulating Fluid Infusion to a Patient
Various fluid delivery systems are described comprising an infusion pump having a housing with a first opening and a hollow interior portion that is configured to receive a cartridge having a tubing. A pump unit can be disposed within the housing. The pump unit comprises a motor mechanically coupled with a crank shaft or eccentric cam that is configured to move a set of pistons or other objects to thereby compress one or more portions of the tubing over time as the crank shaft or eccentric cam rotates.
CANNULAS FOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING MICRODOSES OF MEDICATION
Devices, systems, and methods are provided herein for delivering medication (e.g., insulin) via a wearable pump having a patch-style form factor for adhesion to a user's body. The reusable pump may be coupled to a disposable cap housing a microdosing system for delivering precise, repeatable doses of medication to a cannula configured to deliver medication to a target infusion area beneath the user's outer skin layer. The system further may include an applicator for inserting the cannula into the user's skin and/or applying an adhesive pad to the skin.

Infusion pump with program key
A wearable infusion pump allows a user to insert a program key into a housing of the pump to select a continuous dosage rate. Program keys are shaped to close contacts on a printed circuit board within the housing to communicate the selected dosage rate to a microprocessor. In this way, a single disposable pump, sold with one Stock keeping unit (SKU), can be used to deliver a plurality of dosage rates. The disposable pump is provided with an on-board display and a one-button on-board user operable control. In preferred embodiments, the infusion pump according to the invention may be used for continuous delivery of insulin in management of Type II diabetes.
