DEVICE FOR SUBCUTANEOUS DELIVERY OF FLUID MEDICAMENT
An improved device delivers a fluid medicament to the subcutaneous tissue of a user. The device is better suited for patients with Parkinson's Disease and other central nervous system disorders, than conventional infusion devices. The device can include a reusable part including a drive component (e.g., motor) and control electronics and a disposable part including a medicament reservoir. Medicament can be evacuated from the medicament reservoir by a plunger assembly that includes a plunger attached to a lead screw that is rotated by a nut, all within the disposable part. The device can be fluidically coupled with the tissue via a flexible cannula. Various embodiments relate to an improved cannula insertion mechanism that delivers the cannula under a force applied by a spring. Various embodiments relate to improved filling of the device, for example, using a vial adapter and an automated filling station.
INTRAVENOUS TUBING UPPER FITMENT
An intravenous (IV) tubing fitment is provided. The IV tubing fitment includes a unitary body. The unitary body includes a first end configured to couple to a first tubing, a substantially hemispherical surface adjacent to the first end, and a cylindrical body adjacent to the substantially hemispherical surface. The cylindrical body including a plurality of wings and is configured to receive a second tubing. The unitary body is configured to be received into a mating recess of a fluid delivery device such that the substantially hemispherical surface is uniformly mated with a substantially identical surface of the mating recess, and the cylindrical body is positioned outside of the mating recess.
Disposable infusion fluid delivery device for programmable large volume drug delivery
A disposable electronically controlled infusion pump system includes at least one disposable infusion container and at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system. The at least one disposable infusion container is configured to contain infusion fluid. The at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system is fluidly connected to the at least one disposable infusion container. The at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system includes an infusion channel, a disposable electronically controlled micropump, and valves, but may further include a microprocessor, a memory, a battery or a power receiver configured to wirelessly receive power, a wireless communication device, and other components. The memory is in electronic communication with the microprocessor. The wireless communication device is configured to receive a wireless signal which wirelessly controls the at least one disposable electronically controlled medication pumping system. The disposable electronically controlled micropump is configured to pump the infusion fluid through the infusion channel. The valves are connected to the infusion channel.
INTRAVENOUS INFUSION PUMP WITH CASSETTE INSERTION AND PUMP CONTROL USER INTERFACE
Disclosed in some embodiments is an electronic intravenous infusion pump provided with a disposable, insertable pump cartridge that is connectable to one or more intravenous fluid infusion sources, wherein a user interface on a touch display screen interacts with and responds to the user's insertion of the cassette, and/or wherein the pump is enabled to program a course of infusion for a patient based upon information obtained from the inserted cassette and/or the one or more fluid infusion sources connected to the cassette.
Drug delivery device
The subject invention provides a drug delivery device for injecting medicament which includes a tubular reservoir; a stopper slidably disposed in the reservoir; a spring for moving the stopper in the reservoir; at least one needle, the needle having a distal end for insertion into a patient, and a lumen extending proximally from the distal end, the lumen being in direct or indirect communication with the reservoir; a needle driver for displacing the needle; and an actuator. Activation of the actuator causes the spring to move the stopper and the needle driver to displace the needle. The needle moves relative to, and separately from, the reservoir with the needle being displaced. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a drug delivery device is provided wherein a needle is moved, relative to the reservoir, in being displaced for injection. This permits control of the needle displacement separate from the reservoir.
Devices and methods for modulating medium delivery
Devices, systems and methods for controlling, regulating, altering, transforming or otherwise modulating the delivery of a substance to a delivery site. The devices, systems and methods optimize the delivery of the substance to an intended site, such as a vessel, vascular bed, organ and/or other corporeal structures, while reducing inadvertent introduction or reflux substance to other vessels, vascular beds, organs, and/or other structures, including systemic introduction.
MULTI CHAMBER FLEXIBLE BAG AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A method of preparing a pharmaceutical product in a single multiple chamber flexible bag. A pharmaceutical product is introduced in a liquid state into a first chamber of the flexible bag through a first port. The pharmaceutical product is lyophilized within the first chamber of the flexible bag to provide a lyophilized pharmaceutical product. The flexible bag has a second chamber and the first chamber and the second chamber are separated by a breakable seal. The second chamber further includes a reconstituting solution for reconstituting the lyophilized pharmaceutical product in the first chamber. A user may apply pressure to the flexible bag to break the seal and mix the lyophilized pharmaceutical product and the reconstituting solution to order to administer the pharmaceutical product to a patient.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLUID DELIVERY
A filling aid device for filling a reservoir. The device includes a cover portion comprising a septum window; a slider beam comprising a septum cover; and a first filling aid tab attached to the slider beam, the first filling aid tab in slidable relation to the cover from a first position to a second position, wherein when the filling aid device is in an unlocked position, the septum cover is located below the septum window, wherein when the first filling aid tab is moved from the first position to the second position, the septum cover is moved from below the septum window, and the filling aid device is in the locked position.
MULTI-USE DISINFECTING CAP
A multi-use disinfecting cap and method for disinfection and protection of a needleless IV injection port. The disinfecting cap has an upper chamber which contains a sterilizing solution and a low chamber which connects to a needleless IV injection port. The fluid can be manipulated to flow between the two chambers. When in use the cap protects and disinfects a needleless IV injection port when exposed prior to injecting medication into the needleless port and continues to disinfect and protect prior for any subsequent exposures. The cap is re-usable and provides a clear indication of the disinfecting solution and a datable top surface. The multi-use disinfecting cap may be removably clipped to the IV tubing and is shaped to prevent accidental rolling away if dropped.
PRESSURE-PUMP CARTRIDGE AND PRESSURE PUMP
Provided are a pressure-pump cartridge and a pressure pump, where the pressure-pump cartridge includes a cylinder, where the cylinder has a first chamber, a piston chamber and a second chamber hat are in communication in sequence, and the piston chamber is used for being in sealing fit with a piston. An end of the first chamber remote from the piston chamber is provided with a first opening allowing entry of the piston, and during installation, the piston enters the first chamber by the first opening and enters the piston chamber after passing through the first chamber, and meanwhile, the first chamber is configured to be in a clearance fit with the piston, such that the size of the first chamber is larger than that of the piston.
