Guided type fall arrester—body control system
A fall arrester (10) including a body (20), a pawl (18) mounted to the body (20) for movement between a disengaged position and an engaging position wherein the pawl (18) engages a catching stop (16) in a guide rail (12), a first connecting element (41) operably connected to the pawl (18), and a second connecting element (60) operably connected to the pawl (18), wherein the pawl (18) is configured to move from the disengaged position to the engaged position in response to a first predetermined force applied to the first connecting element (41) in a first direction and to move from the disengaged position to the engaged position in response to a second predetermined force applied to the second connecting element (60) in a second direction that is different than the first direction.
LADDER INSTALLATION FOR EQUIPMENT TOWER
An equipment tower) having a ladder formed of a plurality of ladder segments each joined to a respective tower segment by a pivotal connection prior to the tower segments being stacked during erection of the tower. The pivotal connection provides a degree of freedom of movement which facilitates the interconnection of adjoining ends of the ladder segments after stacking of the tower segments. Additional accommodation of as-built spacing of the adjacent ends of the ladder segments may be provided by a connecting segment. The pivotal connection may be a rod inserted through a rung of the ladder and supported by a support assembly attached to the tower segment.
Guided type fall arrester—force control
A fall arrester is provided and includes a pawl and connecting element that are configured such that the pawl and connecting element rotate in a common direction to move the pawl to an engaging position in response to a first predetermined force applied to the connecting element in a first direction, and to allow the pawl to rotate away from the connecting element as the pawl moves to the engaging position in response to a second predetermined force applied to the connecting element in a second direction that is different than the first direction.
Operator's Deck and Ladder Assembly for an Articulated Harvesting Combine
Disclosed is a harvesting combine having a cab for an operator, a wheel assembly adjacent to a stairs assembly having a top and a bottom, and an improved stairs assembly for accessing the cab by the operator. The improved stairs assembly in a deployed state is angled outwardly from the top of the stairs assembly. The stairs assembly is rotatably connected about its bottom to both raise the stairs assembly and move its bottom inwardly. The stairs assembly is movably connected by a track assembly about its top so as to permit the top of the stairs assembly to move inwardly and upwardly when the stairs assembly is raised from its deployed state. The stairs assembly may be angled outwardly from the top end of the stairs assembly to an angle from the vertical of greater than 15 and may be rigidly anchored at its lower end.
FALL PROTECTION SYSTEM
Systems, assemblies, and/or the like are provided. In some embodiments, A fall protection system includes an absorber assembly including an absorber body, wherein the absorber body defines a nose portion and a locking portion, and wherein the absorber body is configured to transition from a non-deformed state to a deformed state when the absorber body is subject to one or more loading forces; and a shuttle body configured to secure the fall protection system to a rail, wherein the shuttle body defines a counter-locking portion configured to engage with the locking portion when the fall protection system is subject to the one or more loading forces. In some embodiments, the absorber body further defines one or more holes configured to distribute the one or more loading forces throughout the absorber assembly during deformation.
RAIL SYSTEMS, SHUTTLE ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF USE
Methods, systems, assemblies, and/or the like are provided. According to various embodiments, there is provided a rail system including a vertical rail aligned vertically and including a vertical track; a changeover rail comprising a first portion, second portion, and a changeover track, wherein the first portion is configured to operably connect to the vertical rail, wherein the second portion is configured to be fixedly connected to a post, wherein the changeover track is disposed along the first and second portions, wherein the vertical track and the changeover track are configured to be aligned to form a track configured to receive a shuttle assembly configured to travel along the track; and a changeover mechanism configured to operably attach the vertical rail and the changeover rail.
GUIDED TYPE FALL ARRESTER - FORCE CONTROL
A fall arrester is provided and includes a pawl and connecting element that are configured such that the pawl and connecting element rotate in a common direction to move the pawl to an engaging position in response to a first predetermined force applied to the connecting element in a first direction, and to allow the pawl to rotate away from the connecting element as the pawl moves to the engaging position in response to a second predetermined force applied to the connecting element in a second direction that is different than the first direction.
Fall protection system
A fall protection system includes an elevation mechanism including a base end and an elevated end, and that is configured to permit a user to scale the elevation mechanism. The first channel is disposed at a first side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a first shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the first shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism. The second channel is disposed at a second side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a second shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the second shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism.
Fall Protection System
A fall protection system having two telescoping supports positioned at either end of a job location and having a crossbar extending there between that allow a user to work in an elevated position while also providing a tethering point to protect against falls. The supports may be coupled to a pair of conventional ladders that support a walk board, or the supports may directly support a walk board extending between the two supports. The two supports retain and securely attach to a horizontal support beam that is the anchoring location for a fall protection harness. A user may then use the walk board to perform installations or repairs above the minimum height necessary for fall protection and be secured against a fall by attaching via a harness and strap to the cross-bar.
