FIRE AND DISASTER EVACUATION APPARATUS
A fire and disaster evacuation apparatus installed in a high-rise building, including a stationary frame; a front plate; a side plate; a bottom; a locking device; and a lever part, and its width is less than a thickness of an outer wall of the building. The fire and disaster evacuation apparatus has the effects that a resident stranded by a fire or a disaster in a building such as a high-rise building is able to safely and easily evacuate and escape to a lower floor by easily operating the apparatus, that the apparatus can be mounted integrally with an outer wall of an apartment or a building and thus it can be mounted without changing the exterior of the building, that the apparatus is lightweight and thus secures stability, that the apparatus is formed in a thin structure so that it can be mounted at any place as long as an outer wall is 160 mm or more, that the apparatus is located inside a wall body and thus it does not affect the exterior of the building, and that additional power is not necessary to drive the apparatus.
FOLDABLE BALCONY BALUSTRADE-COMBINED FIRE/DISASTER EVACUATION FACILITY
The present invention relates to a facility comprising: a fixed frame fixedly installed on an outer wall of a veranda or a balcony of a high-rise building; a foldable evacuation box which can be unfolded in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped having an open top side and has and evacuation door on a side thereof; a fall prevention and evacuation means which can be structurally changed to an emergency stairway for fire evacuation; an evacuation box locking means which allows the foldable evacuation box to be unfolded in a rectangular parallelepiped form; a locking means which holds and fixes the fall prevention and evacuation means to the fixed frame; and an entry prevention door which prevents an evacuee from entering inside a veranda or a balcony from the foldable evacuation box through the fixed frame.

EMERGENCY EGRESS TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system is provided for emergency egress training. The system includes a training building including a first story simulating a basement of a second building and a second story simulating a first story of the second building. The system further includes a platform defining an opening and including a base configured to mount the platform on a ground surface. The system also includes an egress well operatively connected to the platform at the opening such that a base of the egress well is positioned above the ground surface and wherein the egress well is further operatively connected to the first story of the training building. An emergency egress training method is also provided.
FOLDING STAIRCASE
A folding staircase for use in a door opening having a threshold. The folding staircase has a pair of stringers that have an upper end and a lower end that is adapted for contacting a ground surface. The stringers are spanned by at least one tread. A hinge is connected to a floor near the door opening and a threshold plate pivotally connected thereto is movable between a use position and a stowed position. The staircase may be provided with a lifting mechanism that biases the staircase and threshold plate toward their stowed positions. The lifting device provides a variable force that provides more rotational force when the staircase would require a user to bear more of its weight and less force when less of the weight of the staircase would be borne by a user.
ACCESS DECK ASSEMBLY AND HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR AN AERIAL WORK PLATFORM OF A VEHICLE
An access deck assembly is provided for an aerial lift vehicle mobile platform. A base member defines an upper surface to support an operator, and has first and second guides to cooperate with the platform. A locking mechanism is supported by the base member and retains the access deck to the platform. A method of connecting an access deck assembly to a mobile platform is provided. The access deck assembly is positioned relative to the platform to be above and spaced apart from the platform floor surface, with the base member of the access deck assembly substantially within a perimeter frame of the platform. An access deck assembly has a guide member connected to a base member and configured to connect the base member to the mobile platform and support the base member directly above and spaced apart from the platform floor surface.

Window well egress apparatus
This is a system that allows a small child to escape from a window well using a ladder and a window well cover. The ladder extends from the bottom of the window well cover and has a trigger that when activated slides the ladder and releases a trap door in the window well cover, thus allowing a person to climb the ladder and escape through the cover.
