Adapter to Facilitate Blood Draw and Infusion, Related Systems, And Methods
An adapter configured to couple to a catheter assembly. The adapter may include a first proximal port, a second proximal port, and a distal port. An infusion fluid pathway may extend between the first proximal port and the distal port. A blood withdrawal fluid pathway may extend between the second proximal port and the distal port. The adapter may include a one-way septum disposed in the first proximal port and configured to open to allow fluid flow in a distal direction at a pressure differential across the one-way septum. The one-way septum is disposed within the infusion fluid pathway. The adapter may include a two-way septum disposed in the second proximal port. The two-way septum may be disposed within the blood withdrawal fluid pathway.
Pump clip with tube clamp for a fluid infusion device
A pump clip and a fluid infusion device system, in which the pump clip includes a mount to be connectable to a fluid infusion device, and a base coupled to the mount. The base is pivotable relative to the mount about a first pivot axis. The pump clip includes a clip coupled to the base. The clip is pivotable relative to the base about a second pivot axis, and the clip defines at least one tube clamp to receive a tube associated with the fluid infusion device.
BULB FOR USE WITH IV SET
Bulbs for use with an IV set are described herein. A bulb includes a bulb body and a filter. The bulb body defines an inlet, an outlet, and a bulb volume in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The filter is in fluid communication with the bulb volume. The filter captures particulate from a flow from the inlet to the outlet. The bulb body is deformable to compress the bulb volume and direct back flow from the bulb volume through the filter, agitating particulate captured in the filter, unclogging the filter and allowing for more flow.
RELOCATION MODULE AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL EQUIPMENT

Urinal bottle holding apparatus
A urinal bottle holding apparatus includes a mounting hook, a urinal bottle holder, and an attachment mechanism so that a urinal bottle can be safely secured adjacent to a patient. The urinal bottle holder includes a rectangular base, an opening, and a support wall. The opening concentrically traverses through the rectangular base so that the urinal bottle can be inserted and secured. The support wall is terminally connected to a bottom edge of the rectangular base thus delineating a stronger platform to integrate a plurality of holder fastening features of the attachment mechanism. The mounting hook is integrated with a plurality of hook fastening features as the mounting hook is frictionally attached to rectangular base and the support wall through the attachment mechanism.
Method of operating an injection system
A solution is proposed for operating an injection system comprising a pressurizing unit and at least one supply station for supplying a medical fluid to the pressurizing unit, the supply station comprising at least one receptacle for containing said medical fluid, a delivery arrangement in fluid communication with the receptacle and the pressurizing unit for delivering the medical fluid to a patient, and clamping means associated with the delivery arrangement for regulating the flow of the medical fluid through the delivery arrangement. The method comprises the steps of: operating the pressurizing unit till a first injection procedure is completed; maintaining the injection system in a standby condition before a second injection procedure is started, and operating the pressurizing unit till the second injection procedure is completed. The step of maintaining the injection system in a standby condition comprises the step of acting on the clamping means for de-clamping the delivery arrangement.
IMPROVED INJECTION SYSTEM AND PATIENT SET ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
An injection system is proposed which comprises at least one supply station for supplying a medical fluid to be injected into a patient's vasculature, a pressurizing unit comprising a motor for pressurizing said medical fluid, a delivery arrangement in fluid communication with the at least one supply station and a patient set assembly in fluid communication with the delivery arrangement. The patient set assembly comprises a delivery tube for delivering the pressurized fluid to the patient and a peristaltic pump component comprising a casing which includes an inlet port and an exit port, the inlet port being in fluid communication with the delivery arrangement and the exit port being in fluid communication with the delivery tube. According to an embodiment of the present invention, in proximity of the inlet port, the casing of the peristaltic pump component has a substantially U-shaped configuration. The present invention also relates to a patient set assembly and to a peristaltic pump component.
HINGED BLINDING SHELL FOR HANGING A VIAL AND RELATED METHODS
A vial blinding assembly includes a vial having a stopper with a needle penetrable septum that is aligned with a compartment of the vial. A blinding shell has an interior surface that bounds a cavity, the vial being disposed within the cavity. The blinding shell includes: an encircling sidewall extending between a first end and an opposing second end; a shield wall inwardly projecting from the first end of the sidewall and encircling an access opening, the access opening communicating with the cavity of the blinding shell and being aligned with the septum of the stopper; and a floor inwardly projecting from the second end of the sidewall so as to block access to the cavity at the second end, wherein the blinding shell comprises a first shell portion and a second shell portion that are hingedly coupled together. In one embodiment, a hanging tab outwardly projects from the floor of the blinding shall and has a mounting hole extending therethrough.
