PRE-FILLED DRUG CARTRIDGE WITH STOPPER PARTIALLY PROTRUDING FROM IT FOR FACILITATING PRIMING
Disclosed is a combination of an infusion set consisting of infusion tubing and needle connected to a drug cartridge, the latter comprising a cylindrical body of inner diameter and having an open rear end, wherein a stopper is slidably disposed within the body. In an initial state after the cartridge has been filled, the stopper is partially disposed within the body such that the stopper protrudes from the rear end of the body by a distance. Pushing the stopper into the cartridge by said distance, i.e. until the stopper is flush with the rear end, displaces a predetermined volume according to E, B and the cylindrical geometry of the cartridge, which is large enough to effect complete air priming of the cartridge, infusion tubing and infusion needle.

NEEDLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention suppresses the formation of a pocket in a wall of a puncture route when a dull needle is moved forward along the puncture route. In order to achieve such aim, the invention provides a needle to be inserted into a puncture route extending from skin to a blood vessel under the skin to puncture the blood vessel, wherein: the needle is formed in a tubular shape and has an inclined end face at a tip of the needle, the inclined end face being inclined relative to an axis of the needle, a tip end of the inclined end face defining an unsharp edge; the needle has a flexibility of needle elastic modulus nE=1-900 Nmm as defined by an equation to be set forth below; a material of the needle is a resin; and the needle is manufactured by injection molding using a ring-shaped gate.
INFUSION DEVICE WITH RELEASABLE FLUID CONNECTOR
An infusion set system includes a base and a fluid connector removably coupleable thereto. The fluid connector includes a fluid path portion and at least one connector latch displaceably connected to the fluid path portion and displaceable to a latching position in which at least a portion of the connector latch extends into the fluid path portion, which includes a cannula extending from a top interior surface thereof, and a plurality of internal sidewalls corresponding to at least two of a plurality of flat side surfaces of at least one of a base section and a base latch, thereby facilitating connection between the base and the fluid connector in a plurality of discrete rotational connecting positions. When the fluid connector is locked to the base, the at least one connector latch engages a base latching portion of the base and restricts proximal displacement of the fluid connector.

RESIN HOLLOW NEEDLE, OUTER CYLINDER WITH PUNCTURE PORTION, AND PRE-FILLED SYRINGE
A resin hollow needle includes a distal end section including a puncture end portion, a large-diameter section having a diameter greater than that of the distal end section, a tapered section that is located between the large-diameter section and the distal end section, and a hub section. The distal end section includes a hole that is provided on a proximal end side in comparison to a distal end and on a distal end side of the tapered section, and communicates with the inside and the outside of a hollow needle, and a tapered puncture end portion. The distal end section has a total length of 7 to 14 mm and a maximum outer diameter of 1.5 to 3.0 mm. The tapered section has a length of 0.3 to 4.7 mm and a taper angle of 10° to 50°. The large-diameter section has a length of 4 mm or greater, and a distal end outer diameter that is greater than the maximum outer diameter of the distal end section by 0.6 to 3.0 mm.
CATHETER ASSEMBLY
A catheter assembly includes a catheter; a catheter hub fixed to a proximal end portion of the catheter; a hollow needle having a needle tip and disengageably located in the catheter; a needle hub fixed to a proximal end portion of the needle; a guide wire slidably located in the needle, the guide wire being longer than the catheter and having a distal end that is protrudable from the needle tip; a guide wire hub configured to support the guide wire and move the guide wire with respect to the needle in association with movement of the guide wire hub; and a movement mechanism configured to retract the guide wire hub with respect to the needle hub such that the distal end of the guide wire is housed in the needle in association with forward movement of the catheter hub with respect to the needle hub.
