TRANSFER DEVICE FOR USE WITH INFUSION LIQUID CONTAINER
Transfer devices with vial adapter and/or an infusion set for reducing overdosing/underdosing of an infusion bag are provided. The transfer device provides user- controlled fluid transferring between an infusion liquid container and a drug-containing container. In one aspect, the transfer device provides user-controlled venting that can be used during liquid transfer between the infusion liquid container and a drug-containing container.
IMPLANTABLE DRUG DELIVERY PORT
A drug delivery port including a port housing having an inner sidewall defining a fill port cavity and a fill port washer in direct contact with a perimeter edge of the inner sidewall of the port housing such that an intersection between the washer and the perimeter edge define a plurality of filter channels having a cross-sectional flow area of about 0.001 mm.sup.2 to about 0.5 mm.sup.2 that lie within the fluid pathway of the delivery port. The delivery port also includes a port cover coupled and a pierceable septum compressed between the fill port washer and the port cover configured to allow a needle to pierce through the septum to deliver an injectable fluid to the fill port cavity.

Therapeutic compositions for viral-associated disease states and methods of making and using same
A method comprising obtaining a bodily fluid from a subject; contacting the bodily fluid with an adsorbent material comprising a synthetic carbon particle (SCP) to produce a first filtrate having a level of disease mediators (y); contacting the first filtrate with an adsorbent material comprising the SCP and an anion exchange resin where the ratio of SCP to anion exchange resin is from about 0.1:100 to 100:0.1 to produce a second filtrate; contacting the second filtrate with an adsorbent material comprising the SCP and a cation exchange resin where the ratio of SCP to cation exchange resin is from about 1:100 to produce a third filtrate; and administering the third filtrate to the subject.
MEDICAL DEVICE HAVING NON-FILTERED CSF WITHDRAWAL PATHWAY
An implantable medical device for delivering therapeutic fluid to, and withdrawing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from, a CSF-containing space, includes a first inlet configured to be accessed by a needle of an aspiration device; a first outlet; a first fluid pathway extending from the first inlet to the first outlet; a second inlet; a second outlet; and a second fluid pathway extending from the second inlet to the second outlet. The first fluid pathway is free of a filter configured to prevent passage of a microbe.

AIR FILTER FOR MEDICINAL LIQUID INJECTION AND MEDICINAL LIQUID INJECTION APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
An air filter device for medicinal liquid injection in which a medicinal liquid channel is formed includes: a housing having an air passage that diverges from the medicinal liquid channel and is connected to outside; a hydrophilic boundary filter disposed in the medicinal liquid channel and dividing the medicinal liquid channel into a first channel at an upstream side and a second channel at a downstream side; and a hydrophobic air-passing filter disposed at a boundary between the air passage and the first channel.
