Stopper for a Medical Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to a stopper configured to be positioned inside a barrel of an injection device for injecting at least one composition, said stopper including: a gasket including a proximal end, a distal end, a lateral wall, and a through hole extending from the proximal end to the distal end, an insert inserted in the through hole, wherein the stopper is adapted to deform between: a closed configuration wherein the gasket cooperates with the insert to hermetically close the through hole, for preventing flow of the composition between the proximal end and the distal end of the gasket, and an open configuration wherein the gasket cooperates with the insert to open a fluidic pathway in the through hole between the proximal end and the distal end of the gasket for allowing flow of the composition
DEVICE AND METHOD TO FACILITATE PLEURODESIS FOR MANAGEMENT OF FLUID DRAINAGE
A device, method, and system are provided for treating pleural effusion by administration of a chemical agent through a pleural catheter to achieve pleurodesis. A first embodiment includes a dual barreled syringe to deliver the sclerosing agent; one barrel includes a sclerosing agent, and the other barrel includes a flushing fluid. A kit of the invention comprises a plurality of syringe devices each preloaded with a sclerosing agent matched with a presumptive diagnosis regarding the etiology of the pleural effusion to be treated. A device of the invention includes a handheld, disposable, electronic delivery device with preloaded chambers holding selected medicaments and flushing fluid. Automatic delivery of medicaments is achieved in which a microcontroller of the device controls evacuation of the selected chambers by one or more actuators that communicate with the chambers.
Multi-Chamber Syringes And Methods For Using The Same
A multi-chamber syringe for delivering a plurality of fluids to a central venous catheter includes a barrel and a plunger. The barrel includes a plurality of chambers, and a first one of the plurality of chambers has a predefined volume of a saline flush stored therein. Actuation of the plunger causes the predefined volume of the saline flush to be dispensed from the barrel into the central venous catheter.
NEEDLE STRUCTURE
A needle structure for injecting a filler and monitoring a blood backflow situation simultaneously includes a needle, a housing and a partitioning member. The needle includes a needle chamber and a needle opening connected to the needle chamber. The housing includes a housing chamber and a housing opening connected to the housing chamber, and the housing chamber is connected to the needle chamber to form a needle housing chamber. The partitioning member is disposed in the needle housing chamber. The needle housing chamber is separated into a first chamber and a second chamber by the partitioning member. The needle opening is separated into an injection opening and a blood backflow opening by the partitioning member. The first chamber is connected to the injection opening, and the blood backflow opening and the housing opening are connected by the second chamber.
CANNULATED DOSE DELIVERY DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
The present subject matter includes a cannulated delivery device made of an adapter configured to connect to a syringe; a delivery device tip configured to connect to a dosing chamber; an internal chamber of the cannulated delivery device connecting the adapter and to the delivery device tip, and the internal chamber defining a dose pathway and a system and method of use of the device to increase dosage delivery to a patient while maintaining a sterile fluid pathway.
Multi-chamber injection device
A multi-chamber injection device includes multiple syringes. The multiple syringes may be arrayed in a circular, linear, or other format. In some implementations, a needle, port, or similar may be shared by all the syringes in configuration that allows only one syringe to deliver contents at a time while blocking the other syringes from delivering their respective contents. In some implementations, the syringes may be all stored in the same container. One or more of the chambers of a multi-chamber injection device may be preloaded with medication. Different medications may be loaded into different chambers. The medications may be selected to treat the same medical condition.
INTEGRATED PACKAGE FOR ADMINISTRATION OF LYOPHILIZED MEDICINES
An auto-disable prefillable integrated package apparatus includes a first chamber, a second chamber, a connection configured to form a communicable channel between the first chamber and the second chamber, a frangible membrane configured to form a rupturable barrier within the connector that separates the first chamber and the second chamber, and a hub configured to be communicably coupled to the second chamber.
Syringe systems and methods for multi-stage fluid delivery
A syringe-based device includes a housing, the housing including a port, and an actuator mechanism including a first member and a second member configured to be movably disposed within the housing. The first member includes a syringe body and a plunger movably disposed within the syringe body and including a first plunger seal. The second member includes a second plunger seal defining a channel and a valve fluidically coupled with the channel of the second plunger seal. The device also includes a first fluid reservoir and a second fluid reservoir. The device transitions from a first configuration to a second configuration in which a first type of fluid in the first fluid reservoir is delivered through a port, to a third configuration in which a second type of fluid within the second fluid reservoir is delivered through the port.
METHODS AND MEDICAL ELONGATE BODIES
A method and a medical elongate body are configured to prevent stagnation or turbulence of blood flow in a recess of a rugged pattern formed in a blood vessel due to bulging of a blood vessel wall at a lesion part of the blood vessel. The method involves partitioning an inside of the blood vessel into upstream and downstream sides of the recess, and introducing gel into the recess to at least partially fill the recess. A blood vessel lumen forming method and medical elongate body to form such a lumen are other aspects of the disclosure and involve introducing gel into the recess to at least partially fill the recess with the gel, and drilling the gel to remove at least some of the gel to form a passage and secure blood flow in the blood vessel.
Injection apparatus and method for use
An injection apparatus for sequentially injecting a patient with at least two medicaments may include a hand-held unit comprising a grip for being held by an operator, a single needle, a base unit coupled to the hand-held unit via at least one connecting tube, at least two containers for holding medicaments removably coupled to the base unit, and at least one pump. The at least one connecting tube can be flexible enough to enable easy maneuvering of the hand-held unit and rigid enough to prevent widening of the tube due to inner pressure when medicaments pass from the containers to the hand-held unit. The injection apparatus can be used to administer the at least two medicaments sequentially at different injection points.
