A method of manufacturing a base pipe for use in horizontal well completion, the method includes wrapping an inner shroud around a base pipe, the inner shroud is disconnected from the base pipe and forms seams along each edge of the inner shroud; fusing the seams together; allowing the inner shroud to cool, the inner shroud shrinks around the base pipe to form a friction lock between the base pipe and the inner shroud; laying a filter medium onto an outer shroud, wherein the filter medium is disconnected from the outer shroud, thereby creating a mesh filter medium/outer shroud sheet; wrapping filter medium/outer shroud sheet around the inner shroud, the filter medium is positioned between the inner shroud and outer shroud, thereby creating a second set of seams; and fusing the second set of seams together, thereby creating a second friction lock between the outer shroud and the inner shroud.

A sand control assembly includes a base pipe having at least one perforation, a housing, and at least one inflow control device integrated within the housing via an associated ring secured to the housing and the base pipe, the at least one inflow control device and the associated ring creating a seal. The housing is disposed around the exterior of the base pipe, and the housing is secured to a bypass ring at a first end of the housing and secured to the base pipe at a second end of the housing via a weld end ring. A longitudinal axis of the at least one inflow control device is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the base pipe.

An internal completion string is anchored within a closed casing valve of a production liner in a wellbore. The internal completion string comprises a packer and a shifting tool. The production liner comprises a casing valve having a port and a moveable member. The annulus defined between the production liner and the internal completion string is sealed, and the shifting tool is remotely operated to move the moveable member away from the port, thereby opening the casing valve.
DEVICE AND WORKING METHOD FOR DRILLING HYDRATE MICRO-BOREHOLE AND PERFORMING FAST COMPLETION
Disclosed are a device and a method of drilling a hydrate micro-borehole and performing fast completion, which belongs to the technical field of a hydrate extraction device and a hydrate extraction method. The method includes a continuous operation machine, a power control mechanism, a high pressure water jet pump, a guider, a continuous pipe, a parent pipe and a child pipe, the parent pipe is connected with the continuous operation machine, and an end of the child pipe is connected with a water jet nozzle; the working method basically includes the following: firstly, a large main borehole is formed by drilling to a destination layer at one time with a large size drill bit; secondly, a horizontal micro-borehole is drilled in a natural gas hydrate reservoir by a high pressure water jet device formed by the child and parent pipes and then the child pipe is heated to enable its skin to fall off and leave a screen; finally, the child and parent pipes are disconnected to perform well completion. The present disclosure is applicable to different natural gas hydrate extraction manners. In this way, well drilling and completion is integrated, sand production is effectively inhibited, and the production of the hydrate reservoir is increased with a small effect on the hydrate reservoir. Thus, drilling is accelerated.

Preventing plugging of a downhole shut-in device in a wellbore
An assembly and a method for filtering a particulate from a wellbore fluid flow entering a downhole shut-in device in a wellbore are described. The downhole shut-in device includes a valve body with an inlet. An inner sleeve is coupled to an inner surface of the valve body and moves between a closed position and an open position to control a fluid flow from the wellbore through the inlet of the valve body. The downhole shut-in device includes a screen surrounding an outer surface of the valve body to filter the particulate from the fluid flow through the inlet of the valve body. Some devices also include a strainer tool with a cylindrical housing and an internal strainer. The method includes identifying a production fluid flow containing particulates of a size and quantity to be filtered from entering the downhole shut-in device.

A method of assembling a borehole screen assembly includes placing a screen around a base pipe followed by an end ring having a skive cut to allow fitment with the screen by sliding along the skive cut. The assembly can be completed with welds.
