HYBRID HYDRAULIC GAS PUMP SYSTEM
A hybrid hydraulic gas pump system includes a hydraulic gas pump installed on the lower end of a production tubular where the production tubular incorporates a gas lift system. The hydraulic gas pump may be operated using the same gas in the annular region as the gas lift system or may be operated using an independent supply line where the independent supply line is concentric with, or at least within, the production tubular. In some instances, the gas pump chamber may simply be an upper packer including a pickup tube, a check valve, and a pressurized gas supply line or other pressurized gas access mechanism along with a lower packer including a check valve. Each upper and lower check valve allows fluid to flow from below the packer to above the packer.
Self-cleaning disc valve for piston pump
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally provide a disc-valve design with a self-cleaning feature. The self-cleaning feature may be integrated into the valve, for example, by removing a “cut-out” portion between sealing surfaces of ports. These cut-out portions may create vortices that might clean debris from the sealing surfaces. The cut-outs may also provide a place for debris to collect-keeping it away from the sealing surfaces. In addition, or as an alternative to cut-outs, some other type of mechanism, such as sealing members designed to disturb flow to sweep away debris near a sealing surface or helical grooves (rifling) formed in the ports, may also be used to promote self-cleaning.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ARTIFICIAL LIFT, AND IMPROVED DOWNHOLE ACTUATOR FOR SAME
An artificial lift system may include a rodless hydraulic pump actuator including an actuator housing assembly, an actuator piston assembly supported for reciprocal translation stroke movement relative to the actuator piston assembly, an actuator piston assembly production fluid passage extending through the actuator piston assembly, and a tubular coupling below the actuator housing assembly having a coupling flow passage to pass production fluid into the actuator piston assembly production fluid passage.
Dual-Walled Coiled Tubing with Downhole Flow Actuated Pump
Dual-walled coiled tubing assemblies are used to dispose a flow actuated pump into a wellbore. Dual-walled coiled tubing assemblies include an inner coiled tubing string and an outer coiled tubing string.
Sectional Pumping Apparatus for Well Case
A sectional pumping apparatus for well casing includes a discharge pipe, a submersible pump, a pump housing, a swab tool, and a central axis. The discharge pipe, the submersible pump, the pump housing, and the swab tool are concentrically positioned along the central axis. The discharge pipe includes a first tubular body and a flange connector. The flange connector is radially connected around the first tubular body. The submersible pump is hermetically attached to a pump end of the first tubular body. The submersible pump and the pump end are positioned within the pump housing as the first tubular body is hermetically attached to a top end of the pump housing through the flange connector. The swab tool is hermetically attached to a bottom end of the pump housing and is in fluid communication with the discharge pipe through the submersible pump.
Downhole pump and method for producing well fluids
A method of producing fluid from a wellbore includes operating a pump located proximate to a zone of fluid influx in the wellbore to draw a fluid from a reservoir into the wellbore at the zone of fluid influx. A first section of a tubing string is coupled to, and extends above, the pump, and a second section of the tubing string is coupled to, and extends below, the pump. A packer seals a first annular space around the first section of the tubing string. The method further includes operating the pump to move the fluid from the second section of the tubing string and into the first section of the tubing string.
FRACTURING PUMP WITH IN-LINE FLUID END
A fluid end for use with a power end. The fluid end comprises a plurality of fluid end sections positioned adjacent one another. Each section includes a single horizontally positioned bore. A plunger is installed within the bore and includes a fluid passageway. Low-pressure fluid enters the bore through the plunger and high-pressure fluid exits the fluid end through an outlet valve installed within the bore. The intake of low-pressure fluid within the fluid end section is regulated by an inlet valve installed within the plunger. Low-pressure fluid enters the plunger through an inlet component attached to both the plunger and an inlet manifold.
Artificial lift system with enclosed rod rotator
An artificial lift system can include an actuator operable to reciprocate a rod string in the well, the actuator including a piston reciprocably disposed in a cylinder, and a piston rod connected to the piston, and a rod rotator that continuously rotates the piston rod relative to the cylinder as the piston displaces in a longitudinal direction relative to the cylinder. A method of rotating a rod string can include connecting the rod string to a piston rod of an actuator, longitudinally reciprocating the piston rod relative to a cylinder of the actuator and a mandrel of a rod rotator, and rotating the piston rod relative to the mandrel in response to the reciprocating, the mandrel being disposed at least partially within the piston rod during the rotating. A rod rotator can include a mandrel having a helical external profile configured to attach to a cylinder of a hydraulic actuator, an internal profile complementarily shaped relative to the external profile, and a one-way clutch.
Active accumulator
An active accumulator system which automatically adjusts or adapts the charge pressure or volume of an accumulator to maintain an optimal charge pressure or volume of the accumulator may provide optimal operation of a pump. An active accumulator system may comprise a flow line coupled to a pump, wherein a fluid flows through the flow line to the pump, an accumulator coupled to the flow line, a transducer coupled to the pump, wherein the transducer detects a parameter of the pump at an inlet of the pump, and a controller coupled to the transducer and the accumulator, wherein the controller receives the parameter, and wherein the controller regulates air flow to the accumulator such that the accumulator is adjusted to an optimal charge pressure based at least in part on the parameter.
