Fluid flow control during well treatment
A method can include positioning a flow restrictor in a wellbore that penetrates a formation interval, then displacing the flow restrictor along the wellbore away from the surface, thereby permitting flow into an interval section from a wellbore section between the flow restrictor and the surface, blocking the flow from the wellbore section into the interval section, and displacing the flow restrictor away from the surface, thereby permitting flow from the wellbore section into another interval section farther along the wellbore from the surface. A system can include a flow restrictor that restricts flow through an annulus surrounding the flow restrictor, and plugging devices disposed in a wellbore section positioned between the flow restrictor and a surface of the well. Flow from the wellbore section into a formation interval section is permitted prior to being blocked by the plugging devices.
Methods of stimulating a hydrocarbon well
Methods of stimulating a hydrocarbon well are disclosed herein. The hydrocarbon well includes a wellbore that extends within a subterranean formation and a tubular that extends within the wellbore and defines a tubular conduit. The methods include retaining a sealing structure within the tubular conduit and, during the retaining, stimulating a zone of the subterranean formation. Subsequent to the stimulating, the methods include fluidly isolating the zone of the subterranean formation from the uphole region by at least partially sealing the plurality of perforations. Subsequent to the fluidly isolating, the methods include moving the sealing structure in a downhole direction within the tubular conduit. The methods also include repeating the retaining, the stimulating, the fluidly isolating, and the moving a plurality of times to stimulate a plurality of corresponding zones of the subterranean formation.

NEW FOAMED DIVERTER/SAND CONTROL MODEL FOR FLUID DIVERSION IN INTEGRATED WELLBORE-RESERVOIR SYSTEM
Methods and systems are presented in this disclosure for modeling fluid diversion in an integrated wellbore-reservoir system. A mathematical model for fluid diversion in a reservoir formation of the integrated wellbore-reservoir system is generated by capturing, within the model, combined effects of formation treatments by foaming agent and by a chemical agent (such as resin) that imposes skin effect and permeability reduction to the formation. The generated model can be employed to simulate treatment of the reservoir formation by the foamed resin system. Based on results of the simulated treatment, treatment of the reservoir formation by the foamed resin system can be initiated for fluid diversion among layers of different permeabilities in the reservoir formation.
FLOW CONTROL IN SUBTERRANEAN WELLS
A flow conveyed plugging device for use in a well, the device can include a body, and one or more lines extending outwardly from the body, each of the lines having a lateral dimension that is substantially smaller than a size of the body. A method of plugging an opening in a well can include deploying at least one flow conveyed plugging device into the well, the flow conveyed plugging device including a body and, extending outwardly from the body, at least one of the group consisting of: a) one or more fibers and b) one or more lines, the flow conveyed plugging device being conveyed by flow in the well into sealing engagement with the opening. Another flow conveyed plugging device can include a body, and fibers extending outwardly from the body. The flow conveyed plugging device degrades and thereby permits flow through an opening in the well.
DISSOLVABLE FRAC PLUG ADAPTER, METHOD FOR MEASURING DYNAMIC DOWNHOLE TEMPERATURE, AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING DISSOLVABLE FRAC PLUG
A dissolvable frac plug adapter includes an adapter body and a temperature acquisition and recording apparatus, where the temperature acquisition and recording apparatus is fixed in the adapter body. The adapter body is configured to connect a setting tool and a dissolvable frac plug. The temperature acquisition and recording apparatus is configured to acquire and record an ambient temperature at which the adapter body is located. A method for measuring a dynamic downhole temperature using the dissolvable frac plug adapter and a method for fabricating a dissolvable frac plug using the dissolvable frac plug adapter are provided to measure the dynamic downhole ambient temperature during pumping of the dissolvable frac plug, which features convenient operation and low cost, provides a basis for material selection and design of an ideal dissolvable frac plug for a region, and facilitates fabrication of the ideal dissolvable frac plug for the region.
Method of using diverter and proppant mixture
The flow of well treatment fluids may be diverted from a high permeability zone to a low permeability zone within a fracture network within a subterranean formation by use of a mixture comprising a dissolvable diverter and a proppant. At least a portion of the high permeability zone is propped open with the proppant of the mixture and at least a portion of the high permeability zone is blocked with the diverter. A fluid is then pumped into the subterranean formation and into a lower permeability zone of the formation farther from the wellbore. The diverter in the high permeability zones may then be dissolved at in-situ reservoir conditions and hydrocarbons produced from the high permeability propped zones of the fracture network. The mixture has particular applicability in the enhancement of production or hydrocarbons from high permeability zones in a fracture network located near the wellbore.

Novel Stimulation Method
A method for the stimulation of a hydrocarbon-bearing formation, said method comprising the steps of providing a wellbore in need of stimulation; inserting a plug in the wellbore at a location slightly beyond a predetermined location; inserting a perforating tool having an outside surface and a spearhead or breakdown acid composition into the wellbore, wherein said outside surface of said tool is pre-treated prior to downhole insertion with a grease containing a first corrosion inhibitor adapted to eliminate/minimize/reduce the corrosion inflicted upon it by the exposure of the acid for the duration of the fracking or stimulation and wherein said acidic composition comprises a second corrosion inhibitor which reacts with said first corrosion inhibitor to generate a corrosion protective layer onto said surface; positioning the tool at said predetermined location; perforating the wellbore with the tool thereby creating a perforated area; allowing the spearhead acid to come into contact with the perforated area for a predetermined period of time sufficient to prepare the formation for stimulation; removing the tool from the wellbore; and initiating the fracking of the perforated area using a stimulation fluid. Also disclosed is a corrosion inhibiting compound or composition for use with the acid composition.
