11598192 · 2023-03-07 · ·

Systems and methods are directed to proppant flowback control. A method includes coating resin onto proppant at a well site and pumping the coated proppant into a wellbore during a fracking operation. The method further includes pumping an activator for the resin into the wellbore to displace the coated proppant into at least one fracture during the fracking operation. The pumping of the coated proppant and the pumping of the activator are performed separately.

Aqueous well treatment composition and method for treating a sandstone formation

Provided is a method for treating a sandstone formation with a well treatment composition. The method may include introducing a pre-flush pill, introducing the well treatment composition, introducing a post-flush fluid, and maintaining the wellbore such that the well treatment composition interacts with the sandstone formation. Further provided is a method that may introduce the well treatment composition as two pills, such as an organic acid pill and an inorganic acid pill. The well treatment composition may include an aqueous solution of an ammonium salt, an inorganic acid, an organic acid, and optionally one or more of a pH adjuster, a mutual solvent, a surfactant, and a corrosion inhibitor.

Methods for Stimulating a Hydrocarbon-bearing Formation by Perforating a Wellbore and Introducing an Acidic Composition in the Wellbore
20230120003 · 2023-04-20 ·

The invention includes methods for stimulating a hydrocarbon-bearing formation by perforating a wellbore and introducing an acidic composition in the wellbore. A preferred embodiment includes inserting an isolation plug in the wellbore at a predetermined location followed by inserting a perforating tool and a breakdown acid into the wellbore. The wellbore is perforated by the tool to create a perforated area. The breakdown acid is allowed to come into contact with the perforated area for a predetermined period of time sufficient to prepare the formation for stimulation. The tool is then removed from the wellbore wherein stimulation of the perforated area is thereby initiated. Also disclosed is a corrosion inhibiting composition for use with the acidic composition.

DIVERTER ACID FLUID COMPOSITION FOR THE STIMULATION OF RESERVOIRS BY MATRIX ACIDIFICATION

This invention relates to a diverter acid fluid composition for use in the stimulation of oil wells during exploration thereof, named Quovadis. The invention is used as a diverter acid fluid for the stimulation of oil wells during matrix acidification. The role thereof is to improve the efficiency of processes of stimulation of wells by acid treatment allowing the fluid to come into contact with regions of low permeability of the carbonate rock matrix, i.e., regions of difficult access. The invention also removes permanent formation damage around the well, allowing for greater coverage of the treatment and, consequently, better use of the treatment.
