PREDICTION METHOD FOR CONSTANT PRODUCTION DECLINE OF WATER-PRODUCING GAS WELL IN HIGHLY HETEROGENEOUS RESERVOIR
The present disclosure relates to a prediction method for constant production decline of a water-producing gas well in a highly heterogeneous reservoir. The prediction method mainly includes: collecting related data of a target water-producing gas well, fitting to obtain a water-drive constant and a water invasion constant, fitting dynamic reserves by adopting a Blasingame plotting method, conducting fitting by adopting a dual-medium model to obtain an elastic storativity ratio and an interporosity flow coefficient, calculating a reservoir heterogeneity coefficient, obtaining a flowing bottomhole pressure at the later stage of stable production, calculating formation pressure of a new day through quantitative production of the target water-producing gas well with 1 day as an iteration stride, performing iteration until the formation pressure is less than or equal to the formation pressure at the end of stable production, and drawing a prediction curve about constant production decline of the target water-producing gas well.

Analysis and logging of drilling mud using a mud analysis system and controlling drilling operations responsive to the mud analysis and logging. The system and methods may automatically sample and analyze drilling mud and control the drilling of a well responsive to the mud analysis. The mud analysis system may acquire measurements on a sample of the drilling mud during drilling and may send signals indicative of the drilling mud to a steering control system enabled to control the drilling.

A system may comprise a downhole fluid sampling tool and an information handling tool. The downhole fluid sampling tool may comprise one or more multi-chamber sections, one or more fluid module sections, one or more gas chromatographers, wherein the one or more gas chromatographers are disposed in the one or more fluid module sections, and an information handling system.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for detecting and monitoring hydrogen sulfide in a natural gas stream are disclosed herein. The apparatuses typically include a body comprising at least a first wall, a second wall spaced from the first wall, and a third wall coupled to the first wall and the second wall, wherein the first wall, the second wall, and the third wall define a chamber. The apparatus also typically includes an inlet conduit configured to receive a gaseous stream comprising natural gas and provide the gaseous stream to the chamber; a pressure valve coupled to the exit port, the pressure valve being configured to actuate to release an amount of gas; and an indicator at least partially disposed in the chamber, wherein the indicator comprises a reactive material that is adapted to produce a visual change in the presence of hydrogen sulfide.
Determination of downhole formation fluid contamination and certain component concentrations
A method and system can obtain real time property measurements of a fluid comprising a formation fluid downhole, real time measurements of an amount of an interactive component of the fluid downhole, and real time measurements of an amount of a non-interactive component of the fluid downhole. The method and system further includes determining a total amount of the interactive component in the fluid or a contamination level of the formation fluid at a time of interest based on the real time property measurements of the fluid downhole and the real time measurements of the amounts of the interactive component and non-interactive component downhole. The real time measurements of the amount of the interactive component downhole are real time measurements of the amount of the interactive component in its free form downhole, and the property can be scaled with the contamination level.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING PHASE FLOW RATES OF A MULTIPHASE PRODUCTION FLUID
Systems and methods for measuring phase flow rates of a multiphase production fluid are provided where a fluidic isolation chamber expands volumetrically in response to fluid pressure from a diverted multiphase production fluid. A pressure-regulating actuator regulates fluid pressure upstream of the fluidic isolation chamber and an upstream fluidic pressure sensor generates an upstream fluidic pressure signal. A fluidic control and analysis unit is configured to communicate with the upstream pressure sensor and the isolation chamber actuator to maintain fluidic pressure upstream of the fluidic isolation chamber as the multiphase production fluid is diverted to the fluidic isolation chamber. The unit generates a total flow rate Q.sub.TOT as a function of chamber filling time and volumetric expansion and communicates with the fluidic phase detector to generate a relative occupancy indicator I for a target phase of the multiphase production fluid in the fluidic isolation chamber. A flow rate Q.sub.P for the target phase is generated as a function of the total flow rate Q.sub.TOT and the relative occupancy indicator I.
Constrained Natural Fracture Parameter Hydrocarbon Reservoir Development
Systems and methods for developing hydrocarbon reservoirs based on constrained natural fracture parameters. A natural fracture modeling is generated for a reservoir, an initial set of fracture model parameters is determined, and a fracture model optimization is conducted to determine an optimized set of fracture model parameters. The optimized set of fracture model parameters are used as a basis for modeling the reservoir, and the modeling is used to generate a simulation of the reservoir.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING ASPHALTENE ONSET PRESSURE
Asphaltene onset pressure of a formation fluid is determined by subjecting the fluid to a plurality of tests where depressurization is conducted at a different depressurization rate for each test while optically monitoring the fluid for asphaltene flocculation. The pressures at which asphaltene flocculation are detected in each test are fit to a curve as a function of depressurization rate, and the curve is extrapolated to a pressure (e.g., 0 psi) to provide the asphaltene onset pressure.
