DENTAL NEEDLE VIBRATION DEVICE
The Dental Needle Vibration Device comprises a vibrator motor device that may be formed onto a disposable dental or surgical needle, or may be reversibly coupled to a self-aspirating syringe. The Dental Needle Vibration Device couples to the disposable dental needle or self-aspirating syringe so that vibration motion from the vibrator motor is transmitted to the needle, improving control over the needle during vibration. The device is formed onto a disposable dental or surgical needle so that it does not rotate about the needle or move along the barrel of the needle. The device is coupled onto a self-aspirating syringe so that it is proximate to the needle in a fixed position so that it does not rotate about the syringe or move along the barrel of the syringe.
INJECTION GLOVE
An injection glove produces a variable vibration pattern that can be used to do injections with less pain. The glove is embedded with a communication module to a cellphone application that allows variation of the strength of the impulses, the digits of vibration, as well as various patterns of potential vibration.
Body fluid sampling device-sampling site interface
An arrangement for producing a sample of body fluid from a wound opening created in a skin surface at a sampling site includes: a housing, the housing comprising a first opening; a skin interface member disposed in the first opening, the skin interface member comprising an inner member having a second opening, and an outer member at least partially surrounding the inner member and attached to the first opening; and at least one skin-penetration member configured and arranged to project within the second opening. Arrangements having alternatively constructed skin interface members are also described.
Injection devices
The invention relates to an injection device which includes a handle and a guard which together enclose a movable cartridge which can contain liquid material to be injected, and further enclose a movable injector that includes a needle, the needle being attached to a housing where the housing is attached to the cartridge, the device also including a delivery mechanism whereby the needle is moved from a retracted to an extended position, and independently the volume of the chamber may be adjusted to expel the contents thereof through the needle and into a subject in need thereof. The injection device may be communicatively connected to a control unit so as to provide a dermal injection system.
INJECTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a needle delivery device comprising a device body; one or more skin pinching members attached to the device body, the skin pinching members being moveable to pinch a longitudinal fold of skin of a patient. The device also comprises e a drive mechanism configured to drive a needle out of the device body and along a needle path into the longitudinal fold of skin pinched between the pinching members, and subsequently withdraw the needle, the needle path extending substantially parallel to the surface of the patient.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL SKIN PATCH
A multifunctional skin patch can be used during a treatment procedure to achieve one or more safety factors, including skin cooling, pain management, laser plume control, and/or proper application of the treatment. The multifunctional skin patch includes a transparent hydrogel layer that can be applied to a patient's skin prior to application of the treatment procedure. The treatment procedure can be conducted through the transparent hydrogel layer, and the transparent hydrogel layer (with can be pre-cooled) can cool and/or control pain within the portion of the patient's skin during and/or after the treatment procedure. In some instances, the multifunctional skin patch can also include a transparent indicator layer (covering at least a portion of the transparent hydrogel layer) with dispersed indicator particles attached thereto and/or embedded within. The indicator particles are configured to change in appearance upon application of treatment procedure through the transparent indicator layer.
Spring driven injector apparatus with needle insertion
An injection device is disclosed which comprises a housing (140, 240, 440, 740) for a plurality of cartridges (110,310,410,810) each containing a medicament to be administered to a patient. A plurality of needles (120, 220, 320, 420, 720, 820) may be provided in communication with the plurality of cartridges. A delivery mechanism is arranged to deliver medicament through the plurality of cartridges via the plurality of needles. An injection device may comprise a drive member (130) having a cam surface (136) configured to engage a surface of a carrier (150) and rotate the carrier about a pivot (152) and at least one plunger (134) arranged to engage a cylinder in the cartridge.
NEEDLE ASSEMBLY WITH DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS PROVISIONS
A needle assembly. The needle assembly enabling the analysis of fluid trapped in a flashback chamber after an insertion needle has been inserted into a patient's vein.
Medicine injection device with a pain-reduction member
The injection device comprises a medicine container, means for injecting medicine from the medicine container to a patient through a needle, a skin contact surface crossable by the needle and having protrusions which are pressed around the injection site when the injection device is applied on the patient's skin for the injection, the protrusions being arranged so as to reduce the pain caused by the penetration of the needle, and a sensor for detecting contact of the patient's skin with the skin contact surface, wherein a predetermined force of application of the injection device on the patient's skin is required for the sensor to detect the patient's skin. According to another aspect of the invention, the protrusions include first and second protrusions, wherein the first protrusions come into contact with the patient's skin as the device is applied with a first force and the second protrusions come into contact with the patient's skin as the device is applied with a second force, the second force being greater than the first force.
Venous electrical stimulation apparatus and methods and uses thereof
An electrical venous stimulation apparatus comprising a powered signal generator, the signal generator configured to generate a specified electrical output signal. The apparatus also includes a plurality of electrodes in electrical communication with the signal generator and configured, to be placed in electrical communication with a subject, The electrical output signal sent to the subject, includes an output voltage, electrical current, and waveform that changes with time in a preprogrammed repeating cycle. The output voltage, electrical current, and waveform are configured to elicit a physiological response that stimulates a plurality of peripheral nerves in the subject, activates a venous muscle pump mechanism in one or more limbs of the subject, and non-invasively alter the physiology of target vein(s), wherein the target vein(s) is caused to distend under the surface of the subject's skirt.
