A vibratory compactor is provided. The vibratory compactor may include a compactor plate, a frame coupled to the compactor plate, wherein the frame may include an inner space and a housing. The frame may include a plurality of mounting brackets coupled between a first side member and a second side member of the frame. The vibratory compactor may include a vibration generation device coupled to the compactor plate within the inner space of the frame. The vibratory compactor may include a plurality of isolators, each isolator coupled to one mounting bracket of the plurality of mounting brackets. The housing may be coupled to the plurality of isolators, wherein the housing may include couplers removably coupled to a top surface of the housing. The couplers may be configured for coupling the vibratory compactor to an excavator type vehicle.

CONSTRUCTION VEHICLE

A construction vehicle includes a frame, at least one drum, and a vibratory system. The vibratory system includes a first eccentric weight, a second eccentric weight, and a shift assembly adapted to vary an amplitude of the vibratory system. The shift assembly includes a shaft member adapted to move along a first axis for changing a position of the first eccentric weight relative to the second eccentric weight. The shift assembly also includes an actuator and a fork assembly adapted to move the shaft member along the first axis. The fork assembly includes a fork fixedly coupled to the actuator. The fork assembly also includes a housing member concentrically disposed around the shaft member, wherein the fork is pivotally coupled to the housing member at a pair of pivot points defined proximate to the second end of the fork. The fork assembly further includes a bearing member.

Construction vehicle

A construction vehicle includes a frame, at least one drum, and a vibratory system. A machine for backfilling pavement material into a trench defined within a pavement surface includes a frame defining a longitudinal axis and having at least one wheel. The frame being configured to move along the pavement surface. A hopper supported on the frame and including an inlet opening configured to receive pavement material and an outlet opening configured to discharge pavement material into the trench. The machine also includes a compactor supported on the frame and aligned with the hopper along the longitudinal axis. The compactor is configured to compact the discharged pavement material within the trench.

A vibratory compactor is provided. The vibratory compactor may include at least one load bearing member coupled to a load bearing base and a frame coupled to a compactor plate with the load bearing base coupled to the frame. The frame and compactor plate are configured to vibrate. The vibratory compactor may also include a housing having an inner volume, the housing coupled to the frame by at least one isolator with the frame and the at least one load bearing member located within the inner volume. The housing may be coupled to an arm of an excavator. In response to force being applied to the housing by the excavator during compaction, the housing moves with respect to the frame until a top member of the housing contacts the at least one load bearing member and compacts soil more effectively than a vibratory compactor without the load bearing member.

Articulating rolling compactor attachment

A rolling compactor attachment configured for use with a host vehicle. The host vehicle has a front with a first side and a second side. The rolling compactor attachment includes an attachment plate configured to attach to the front of the host vehicle such that the attachment plate is stationary relative to the host vehicle. A boom includes a first end that coupled to the attachment plate. A roller is coupled to a second end of the boom. The boom is configured to position the roller laterally beyond at least one of the first side or the second side, and the roller is configured to tilt about the second end of the boom such that the roller is able to compact an inclined or declined slope.

Compaction machine

A compaction machine includes a frame and at least one compaction member rotatably mounted to the frame. The compaction machine also includes at least one pneumatic tire movably coupled to the frame. The at least one pneumatic tire is disposed on at least one of a first side and a second side of the at least one compaction member and adjacent to an edge of the at least one compaction member. The at least one pneumatic tire is adapted to selectively move between a deployed position and a retracted position. In the retracted position, the at least one pneumatic tire is raised relative to a work surface. In the deployed position, the at least one pneumatic tire is adapted to provide selective compaction of a portion of the work surface.
