PROPULSION SYSTEM FOR A CONSTRUCTION MACHINE

A construction machine having a frame and at least one compaction member is provided. The machine also includes a propulsion system having a hydraulic motor adapted to rotate the compaction member. The propulsion system also includes a hydraulic pump fluidly coupled to the hydraulic motor via a high pressure line and a low pressure line. The high pressure line allows flow of a fluid at high pressure from the hydraulic pump to the hydraulic motor. The low pressure line allows flow of the fluid at low pressure from the hydraulic motor to the hydraulic pump. The propulsion system further includes a hydraulic valve fluidly coupled to the low pressure line and a casing of the hydraulic motor. The hydraulic valve selectively allows flow of a portion of the fluid at low pressure from the low pressure line to the casing for cooling of the hydraulic motor.

The vibratory mechanism also includes a non-fixed weight provided within the cavity. The non-fixed weight is adapted to move within the cavity. A movement of the non-fixed weight within the cavity generates multiple vibration amplitudes as the vibratory system rotates in a first direction and a second direction. The first direction is opposite to the second direction.

The method includes determining the depth to which a drum of the compactor roller penetrates into and depresses the soil when the compactor roller travels over a soil surface. The system includes a compactor roller, a measuring arrangement and a processor which is operatively connected to the measuring arrangement and which is configured to process data received from the measuring arrangement. The measuring arrangement includes an inertial measurement unit which is operatively connected to the compactor roller, wherein the arrangement is configured to obtain an indication of the soil strength of soil over which the compactor roller travels during operation, by determining the depth to which the drum penetrates into and depresses the soil over which it travels.

An operator of the imprint roller may grip the frame and support at least a portion of the frame during operation of the imprint roller. The motor assembly is supported on the frame and operable to transfer mechanical energy through the frame to the vibrator head included in the roller assembly.

Block compactor

A block compactor equipped with a brake mechanism capable of securely locking rollers with a simple structure and stably maintaining a locked state and an unlocked state even when exposed to vibration. A brake pad is fixed to a lower end portion of a brake shaft and is configured to be rotatable together with the brake shaft between two rollers adjacent in the front and rear. By rotating a brake lever, the brake pad can be switched between an unlocked state in which the brake pad does not contact with the outer circumferential surfaces of the rollers, and the rollers are free to rotate, and a locked state in which the brake pad contacts with the outer circumferential surfaces of the rollers, and the rollers cannot rotate with the friction force.
