ROAD FINISHER AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE LAYER THICKNESS OF A PAVING LAYER PRODUCED
The disclosure refers to a road finisher for producing a paving layer on a subgrade on which the road finisher moves along a paving direction during a paving run. In accordance with the disclosure, the road finisher is adapted to use distance measurements to a subgrade, which can be provided to a leveling system of the road finisher, equally as measured values for determining the thickness of a layer. The disclosure also refers to a respective method for determining the layer thickness.

The screed arrangement includes a screed body including a deflector member and a base plate, and an oscillating tamper bar arrangement positioned between the deflector member and the base plate. A method for determining a width and/or a weight and/or a center of gravity of a screed of a road paver, comprising the steps: measuring an electrical variable of a heating device, in particular a heating power, a heating resistance or a power consumption of the heating device; calculating the weight and/or the center of gravity and/or the width of the screed transversely to the working direction of the screed by means of the electrical operating variable.
