INHALER ARTICLE WITH OPEN DISTAL END, AND INHALER SYSTEM
An inhaler article (150) includes a body (151) extending along a longitudinal axis of the inhaler article from a mouthpiece end (154) to a distal end (156), a capsule cavity (155) and a capsule (160) retained within the capsule cavity. The capsule cavity is defined within the body and bounded downstream by a filter element (157) and bounded upstream by a tubular element (153) defining a central passage (152) in fluid communication with the capsule cavity. The central passage forms an air inlet aperture extending along the longitudinal axis of the inhaler article from the distal end of the body towards the capsule cavity, wherein the tubular element has a central passage inner diameter in a range from about 50% to about 90% of an inner diameter of the capsule cavity. The inhaler article is configured to receive a swirling inhalation airflow into the central passage.
INHALER ARTICLE WITH TANGENTIAL AIRFLOW END ELEMENT
An inhaler article includes a body extending along a longitudinal axis from a mouthpiece end to a distal end, a capsule cavity defined within the body and a tubular element extending from the distal end towards the capsule cavity. The tubular element defines a central passage extending from the distal end towards the capsule cavity. The tubular element includes at least one air inlet allowing air to enter into the central passage. The at least one air inlet extends in a direction that is tangential to the central passage.
HOLDER FOR INHALER ARTICLE
A holder for an inhaler article includes a housing comprising a housing cavity for receiving an inhaler article a sleeve configured to retain an inhaler article within the housing cavity. The sleeve includes a sleeve cavity and is movable within the housing cavity along a longitudinal axis of the housing. The sleeve includes a first open end and a second opposing end. The first open end is configured to receive an inhaler article and the second opposing end of the sleeve is configured to allow air to enter the sleeve cavity. The second opposing end of the sleeve is configured to induce a swirl on the air entering the sleeve cavity.
AUTOMATIC DISPENSER FOR RESPIRATORY DELIVERY DEVICE
The present invention provides a particulate delivery device with an automatic activation mechanism that pierces or cuts a composition capsule when a cap is removed. The cap cannot be replaced once the device is activated for use. The device allows for gas flow through the device from a gas inlet to a gas outlet through a composition receptacle and dispersion chamber to deliver particulate to the airway of a subject.
Essential oil atomizer
An essential oil reflux-type atomizer comprising the following structures: chassis, housing, atomization chamber, gas pump, gas tube, gas nozzle, oil nozzle, and filter atomization mechanism. The filter atomization mechanism is installed in the housing and has an upper filter and a lower filter. The essential oil atomizer can be improved efficiency and reduced noise level.
LIQUID DRUG CARTRIDGES AND ASSOCIATED DISPENSER
Liquid drug cartridges and an associated inhaler are used to deliver one more separate doses of an aerosolized liquid drug. A cartridge includes a container for storing the liquid drug, an end cap having an ejection opening, a filter element, and a piston that is repositionable relative to the container to selectively eject a volume of liquid drug from the ejection opening. The filter element filters the liquid drug prior to ejection from the ejection opening. The liquid drug cartridge can be coupled with an inhaler that includes an aerosol generator. The aerosol generator includes a vibratable membrane onto which the liquid drug is ejected. The liquid drug is aerosolized by the vibration of the membrane for inhalation by a user.
ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE
An electronic smoking article includes an outer tube extending in a longitudinal direction, an inner tube within the outer tube and including a pair of opposing slots, a liquid supply comprising a liquid material, a coil heater, a wick and a mouth end insert. The coil heater is located in the inner tube. The coil heater is formed of an iron-free, nickel-chromium alloy and has substantially uniformly spaced windings. The wick is surrounded by the coil heater such that the wick delivers liquid material to the coil heater and the coil heater heats the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol in the inner tube.
Dispenser for dry-powder inhalation devices
A dispenser for dispensing one or more dry-powder inhaler devices, having at least one compartment configured to hold at least one dry-powder inhaler device, the at least one dry-powder inhaler device comprising a casing enclosing at least one compartment containing an inhalable medicament covered by a cover, and at least one puncture mechanism comprising at least one pin structure operably aligned with the at least one compartment, and at least one obstruction internally located within the dispenser and adjacent to an opening, wherein, upon a dry-powder inhaler device being pulled from a dispenser, the at least one obstruction is configured to actuate the at least one puncture mechanism to extend the at least one pin structure into the casing, thereby puncturing the cover of the at least one compartment.
Dry powder nebulizer
A dry powder delivery device may be configured to provide micronized dry powder particles to airways of a user. The device may include a cylindrical container delimiting a chamber containing at least one magnetically-responsive object, a motor external to said chamber, a magnet external to the chamber and rotatably coupled with the motor, and an outflow member configured to direct airflow to a user. The magnetically-responsive object may be coated with micronized dry powder particles, and the motor may be operable to rotate the magnet about an axis. Rotation of the magnet creates a magnetic field that causes the magnetically-responsive object to move in response to the magnetic field and collide with a side wall of the container to deaggregate the dry powder particles and aerosolize the dry powder in the chamber.
Medication Delivery Device with Angled Tip
The spray application device with angled tip may comprise an applicator and an activator, where the applicator has a nozzle for delivery of a sprayable material. The spray application device may store a medication and may dispense the medication as an aerosol mist. The medication applicator may be adapted to dispense the medication through a nostril of a user directed at the posterior nasal cavity. The spray application device may be operable to release the medication in multiple doses of predetermined volume. The spray application device may be adapted for the user to self-administer the medication while positioned in any preferred physical position. A nozzle with a compliant nozzle shroud, an angled tip, and anatomically optimized nozzle geometry may direct the medication to a precise location within the posterior nasal cavity of a user.
