In the region of the contact areas the covering layer is formed by a detachable adhesive protective strip, and the protective strip is connected via predetermined break points or perforations to adjoining sections of the covering layer, and the wires are exposed by detaching the protective strip.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to roadway delineators with one or more light sources that provide illumination and increased visibility. In one implementation, the delineator is operable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. The delineator may include a plurality of panels with flexible connections that connect the panels to one another and allow the delineator to be collapsed. In addition, the delineator may be self-powered and include a solar array and/or a rechargeable power source for the one or more light sources.

Signaling delineator assemblies and methods are disclosed. One example delineator assembly includes a delineator that has a base portion and a top portion, with the base portion being configured to stand on a level surface, and with the top portion having at least one aperture. An adapter bracket extends through the aperture and comprises at least one pole connection portion and a first portion and a second portion. The first portion contacts a first side of the at least one aperture and the second portion contacts a second side of the at least one aperture. A signaling pole is connected to the at least one pole connection portion and extends away from the adapter bracket. The delineator assembly adapts conventional delineators to have increased height and visibility so that they are more visible to tall vehicles such as tractors and aircraft.
