The delivery device is configured to deliver an aerosol-forming substrate to at least a surface of the heat resistive substrate, wherein the heating element is isolated or separated from the aerosol-forming substrate by the heat resistive substrate. The present disclosure is also directed to a method for generating an aerosol.

Prepuce Extruding, Cutting, Hemostasis, and Healing Assembly Using Ultrasonic Wave

A prepuce extruding, cutting, hemostasis, and healing assembly using ultrasonic wave. Ultrasonic wave is applied in extruding, cutting, hemostasis, and healing of prepuce at a conjunction of internal and external tissues of a distal part of a human body. The assembly includes an ultrasonic generating device, a transmission device and a circumcision device. The ultrasonic generating device is used for generating ultrasonic waves, is connected to the transmission device and can send the ultrasonic waves to the transmission device. The transmission device is connected to the circumcision device and can send the ultrasonic waves to the circumcision device. The circumcision device is used for extruding and cutting a prepuce and/or performing hemostasis and/or healing of wounds. In this way, circumcision can be completed within just several seconds, and immediate healing can be achieved, preventing bleeding during and after a surgery.

LIQUID DISPENSER WITH SECURING MECHANISM

A liquid dispenser is for the delivery of pharmaceutical liquids, including a droplet dispenser, the liquid reservoir thereof being formed by a squeezable bottle body. Two measures secure the liquid dispenser, namely the provision of a cover body, an application of force on the squeezable bottle body being able to be prevented thereby, as well as a cap with a rotatable locking ring. The removal of the cap and the transfer of the cover body into a use position requires the deformation of an annular partial element.

Hemostatic Powder Delivery Devices and Methods

The present invention is directed to a device for the expression of a hemostatic powder having an elongated reservoir with a manual air pump, such as a bellows, at a proximal end and an expression port at a distal end. A porous filter is slidably disposed within the reservoir between the bellows and plunger and the expression port, and a spring is disposed within the reservoir between the air pump and the plunger. The powder is disposed within the reservoir between the porous filter and the expression port, and the pump is in a fluid communication with the expression port through the porous filter and through the powder.

DISPENSER FOR APPLYING LIQUID, IN PARTICULAR FOR APPLYING A PHARMACEUTICAL LIQUID, AND SET COMPRISING SUCH A DISPENSER
20220097087 · 2022-03-31 ·

A dispenser for applying liquid, having a housing with an applicator opening and a liquid reservoir. The dispenser has a ventilation duct by which an ambient atmosphere is connected to the liquid reservoir so that, after the application of liquid, an inflow of air from the atmosphere is permitted into the liquid reservoir. The dispenser is provided with a detection installation which for detecting an application procedure detects air flowing in through the ventilation duct. The dispenser has a protective cap covering the applicator opening on the housing. The dispenser in the ventilation duct has a switch valve operable by activating a push-button on the external side of the housing. The protective cap acts on the push-button when placed on the housing or when the protective cap is being placed thereon to open the switch valve.

Device and method of delivering particles in the upper respiratory tract
11278684 · 2022-03-22 ·

A method of delivering a substance in aerosol or powder form to the upper respiratory tract is provided. The substance is orally administered into the larynx, through the pharynx, and out from the nose while minimizing inhalation into the lungs, whereby deposition of particles in the upper respiratory tract is achieved with limited deposition in the trachea, lower airways and lungs. Also provided is an oral delivery device having a mouthpiece for oral inhalation of a flow of a substance into the upper respiratory tract and a flow restrictor for enabling arrestment of the flow minimizing inhalation into the trachea, lower airways and lungs, which provides for a deposition of particles in the upper respiratory tract with limited deposition in the trachea, lower airways and lungs. Also provided is an oral delivery device having a mouthpiece for admission of a flow of a substance into the upper respiratory tract and a flow generator for pressuring the substance into travel through the upper respiratory tract.

Foam applicator for in-ear use

A device for dispensing a foam medication into a human or animal ear includes a supply of foamable medicine held within a container. The medicine is advanced through a delivery tube that is configured to engage an ear without entering the ear canal to an extent that it contacts the eardrum. The delivery tube has an enlarged end portion that prevents the device from being inserted too far into an ear, and the enlarged end portion has a series of openings oriented in two different directions to deliver foam into the ear forward of the device and around the circumference of the delivery tube.

TARGETED ADMINISTRATION TO THE OROPHARYNX OF VISCOUS OR DRY POWDER FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE AND RELATED CORTICOSTEROIDS FOR THE TREATMENT OF EOSINOPHILIC ESOPHAGITIS (EoE)

Embodiments of the application involve a formulation of Fluticasone Propionate in the form of a suspension, gel or dry powder comprising Fluticasone Propionate, Fluticasone Furoate, Micronized Fluticasone Propionate or Micronized Fluticasone Furoate or other corticosteroids. Additional pharmaceutical components of the formulation may allow for the adherence and duration of the active ingredient to the inflamed esophageal tissues. The resulting medication formulation is then targeted with a drug delivery device and applied directly to the oropharynx bypassing the oral cavity altogether. The medication then flows down the back of the throat to the esophagus. By passing the oral cavity prevents the corticosteroid drug from being absorbed into the bloodstream through oral cavity tissues, helping to prevent harmful side effects. Additional side effects are avoided by using the medication Fluticasone, which exhibits exceptionally low gastrointestinal absorption.
