Breakaway clamp for roadside pole
A breakaway pole including an elongated pole body extending between a bottom end and an upper end and a base connected to the bottom end of the elongated pole body. The base includes an interior flange having at least one slot. The breakaway pole includes a breakaway clamp mounted on the at least one slot of the interior flange of the base. The breakaway clamp includes a nut and a clamp body. The clamp body has a tapered main body and two lateral breakaway flanges. The lower portion of the tapered main body is positioned within the slot of the interior flange of the base. The two lateral breakaway flanges extend laterally outward from the upper portion of the tapered main body so that the two lateral breakaway flanges contact the interior flange of the base laterally beyond the at least one slot.

Break-away bracket and spike
A ground spike with an attachable mounting bracket. The ground spike has an angled tip adapted to be driven into the ground. The top of the spike has a mounting plate configured to be substantially flat with the ground surface when installed. The mounting plate can be of any suitable size or shape. A plurality of slots are located around the perimeter, and extend towards the center for a distance. An upper post fastening section with an open upper end receives and secures a post, such as a mailbox post. Holes in the sides of the fastening section allow for securely fastening the mounting bracket to the post, such as through screws or similar fastening means. The lower end of the post fastening section includes a second mounting plate, or flanges that extend outward at a right angle. The second mounting plate or flanges comprise a plurality of slots that are configured to align with the slots in the mounting plate attached to the spike. Mechanical fasteners, such as bolts and nuts, are used to fasten the mounting bracket to the spike mounting plate. Preferably, the mechanical fasteners are made of a material that breaks when a threshold level of force is applied to the post secured to the mounting bracket.

TRAFFIC MONITORING ARRANGEMENT
A traffic monitoring arrangement with a housing having a first housing component and at least a second housing component, wherein the traffic monitoring arrangement comprises a flexible stop means, by which the first housing component and the second housing component are connected to each other. Furthermore, the traffic monitoring arrangement comprises at least one predetermined breaking point which, with respect to a local connection region provided by the second housing component, on which the flexible stop means is fixed, is located on a side of the traffic monitoring arrangement facing away from the first housing component.
