STRUCTURE OF SIGN POLE AND SIGN POLE
A structure of a sign pole is provided. The sign pole includes a tubular member that has a predetermined outer diameter, a predetermined inner diameter, and a predetermined thickness. In a state in which the sign pole is embedded in a ground, the sign pole includes a reinforcement portion having a thickness different from the predetermined thickness while maintaining the predetermined outer diameter in a first range from a first position equal to or lower than a level of a ground surface to a second position located a predetermined distance above the level of the ground surface. The reinforcement portion has a thickness larger than the predetermined thickness.
System and Method for Anchoring Bollards and Curbside Features
A system and method for anchoring bollards and curbside features is disclosed. The ‘curb apparatus’ is comprised of a planar, horizontal plate and a vertical portion on a distal end with apertures to receive a plurality of fasteners. This L-shaped, curb apparatus is selectively affixed to street curbs. An object of the invention is to support curbside features such as lighting bollards, benches, and bike racks etc. For example, in one embodiment, the feet of a park bench are affixed to the horizontal plate of the curb apparatus and the vertical portion is bolted into the vertical wall of the curb and gutter in a street. Other embodiments incorporate gussets and stiffeners to prevent bending and shifting as well as other means of fastening such as cements and epoxies. This installation prevents the bench from shifting when bumped and can mitigate vandalism.

System, method and apparatus for securing a traffic delineator
A delineator mounting system that includes an octagonal mounting apparatus for mating a traffic delineator to an in-ground mount. According to a first preferred embodiment, an exemplary delineator mounting system of the present invention includes an extended central housing having a lower end with an octagonal outer surface, an octagonal inner surface and a flared lower connecting surface. According to a further preferred embodiment, the extended central housing further includes an upper end having a cylindrical main body which includes an upper end exterior surface, an upper end interior surface, and a flared upper connecting surface.
JOINING SYSTEM
A system for fixings and/or preventing relative movement between two elongated members particularly for a pole. The system comprises couplings provided by pairs of tapered bodies. The elongate mast portion is of a smaller cross-section than the base portion and can at least partially fit within the base portion. The respective tapered body providing engagement surfaces which upon entry of the mast into the base increase the area of mutual contact and increase the lateral force applied between the mast and the base thereby preventing or at least reducing relative movement therebetween.
Impact-Resistant and Energy-Absorbing Bollard System
A bollard system having a main post; a post collar; a base plate; and an energy-absorbing element. The base plate has an arcuate outer wall and inwardly projecting mounting fastener notches around the bottom of the base plate. The post, the post collar and the base plate are shaped such that when the post is loaded above the base plate, an obliquely, downwardly directed sliding movement of the post and post collar relative to the base plate is obtained and is damped by the energy-absorbing element.
