MAINTENANCE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR VAPORIZING DEVICE
A maintenance apparatus for a fluid ejection and vaporization device and a fluid ejection and vaporization device containing the maintenance apparatus. The maintenance apparatus includes a movable wiper blade, the wiper blade being attached to an arm on one end of the arm, wherein a distal end of the arm is attached to an air operated mechanism for moving the arm and for causing a sweeping movement of the wiper blade over an ejection head in the fluid ejection and vaporization device.
LIQUID TANK, ATOMIZER AND ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE HAVING SAME
An exemplary liquid tank for an atomizer includes a bottom part, a liquid outlet, a first air inlet, a first porous liquid blocking element, and a top part. The bottom part has a first end and an opposite second end, and defines a liquid chamber for containing tobacco liquid. The liquid outlet is defined in the second end. The first air inlet is defined in the first end, so that external air can enter the liquid chamber via the first air inlet. The first porous liquid blocking element covers the first air inlet. The first porous liquid blocking element is capable of preventing the tobacco liquid in the liquid chamber from flowing out via the first air inlet, and allows air to pass through. The top part is detachably connected to the first end. The top part and the bottom part cooperatively clamp the first liquid blocking element therebetween.
Method and system for drug delivery
There is provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a device and a method for controlled extraction of at least one active substance from at least one type of plant matter by application of heat, the device comprising: a heating element adapted to apply heat to an area of the plant matter to extract the substance; and a mechanism adapted for moving the plant matter relative to the heating element. Optionally, the active substance is a restricted substance. There is also provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a method of monitoring and controlling inhalation of a restricted substance. There is provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a method of manufacturing a tape of plant matter comprising an active substance.
PERSONAL VAPORIZER CARTRIDGE WITH TAMPER RESPONSIVE RESERVOIR
The present disclosure describes a tamper responsive cartridge which can prevent malicious or inadvertent altering of the primary substance before it is consumed by the user, either by an intervening party, or the user itself. As described herein, an altering substance can be contained in a second reservoir, separate from the primary reservoir, and configured to make access to the primary reservoir difficult without also accessing the secondary reservoir.
CARTRIDGE ORIENTATION FOR SELECTION OF A CONTROL FUNCTION IN A VAPORIZATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices comprising a power unit and a cartridge that is configured for engagement with the power unit. In particular, the cartridge can be configured for rotation about a longitudinal axis thereof so as to be insertable into a chamber of the power unit in a plurality of different orientations. Further, the aerosol delivery device can include processing circuitry that can be configured for detection of the cartridge orientation and execution of a control function assigned to the respective orientation.
DRUG DOSE CARTRIDGE FOR AN INHALER DEVICE
Devices and methods are described for preparing, managing, and/or administering metered doses of substances for vaporized administration. In some embodiments, dose cartridges comprising at least one botanical substance include a heating element integrated into the cartridge in close contact with the botanical substance. In some embodiments, cartridge-mounted doses are stored in a magazine, optionally in carousel form, before use. Transport of a cartridge from a magazine to an electrically operated vaporizing chamber which activates the heating element is provided by a mechanical pickup means.
DEVICE WITH COMPOSITIONS FOR DELIVERY TO THE LUNGS, THE ORAL MUCOSA AND THE BRAIN
The present invention provides a passive inhaler for use in treating a number of diseases. The inventor has shown that the compositions comprised in the inhaler can be delivered to the lungs and to the brain in pharmacological relevant dosages, to treat a number of diseases in the lungs and the brain. Further, the inhaler is also able to deliver substances to the brain which may enhance transport across the blood brain barrier.
Nicotine salt with meta-salicylic acid
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of nicotine delivery. The disclosure teaches a nicotine meta-salicylate. More specifically, the disclosure teaches a condensation nicotine aerosol where nicotine meta-salicylate is vaporized. This disclosure relates to aerosol nicotine delivery devices. The delivery devices can be activated by actuation mechanisms to vaporize thin films comprising a nicotine meta-salicylate. More particularly, this disclosure relates to thin films of nicotine salt with meta salicylic acid for the treatment of nicotine craving and for effecting smoking cessation.
PERSONAL VAPORIZER WITH BREACH DETECTION
The present disclosure describes a personal vaporizer which can detect whether or not a cartridge of the personal vaporizer has been breached. The cartridge includes a conductive shell. The conductive shell can include two or more conductors which are electrically isolated from each-other. Prior to operation, the personal vaporizer can use the two or more conductors to assess whether or not an outer shell of the cartridge has been breached. In some implementations, if it is determined that the cartridge has been breached, the personal vaporizer can shut down, or otherwise fail to operate normally.
Aerosol generating system having means for determining depletion of a liquid substrate
There is provided an electrically operated aerosol generating system for receiving an aerosol-forming substrate. The system includes a liquid storage portion for storing liquid aerosol-forming substrate, an electric heater including at least one heating element for heating the liquid aerosol-forming substrate, and electric circuitry for determining depletion of liquid aerosol-forming substrate heated by the heater based on a relationship between a temperature of the heating element and power applied to the heating element. There is also provided a method in an electrically operated aerosol generating system including a liquid storage portion for storing liquid aerosol-forming substrate and an electric heater including at least one heating element for heating the liquid aerosol-forming substrate, the method including determining depletion of liquid aerosol-forming substrate heated by the heater based on a relationship between a temperature of the heating element and power applied to the heating element.
