SMART GUARDRAIL
Proposed is a smart guardrail capable of absorbing a shock induced when a vehicle collides with the guardrail to protect an occupant against the shock and of in real time performing monitoring and remote control to prevent a subsequent traffic accident. The smart guardrail, including a support fixedly installed at an equal distance at a center or an edge of a road, and a guardrail plate fixedly coupled to one or both sides of the support, further includes: a shock absorption member absorbing and thus reducing a shock induced when a vehicle collides with the guardrail; and a terminal configured to detect an external shock, an appearance of a wild animal on the road, and transmit a warning signal to an adjacent terminal positioned in a direction opposite to a traveling direction of the vehicle and to terminals positioned in succession behind the adjacent terminal.
Module for road safety barrier and safety barrier made with said module
The present invention relates to a module for a road safety barrier (11) comprising essentially a main protection body (12) adapted to be coupled and constrained to at least two support uprights (13) fixed and constrained to the road surface or in the ground immediately adjacent to said road surface, in which said main protection body (12) has an upturned L shaped section to be arranged on said uprights (13) and fixed to them and in which said main protection body (12) has, in its front surface facing outwards, opposite to that facing said uprights (13), at least two wave-shaped enlargements (14) which proceed horizontally and parallel to the ground, said main protection body (12) being made from a special composite material, in which the matrix used for its realisation comes from raw materials recycled from used tyres, that is from the mixing of rubber powder and/or granules containing other recycled plastic materials and their related binders.
SAFETY FENCE FOR VEHICLE PROTECTION
Proposed is a safety fence for vehicle protection, including prop members installed vertically on a ground to be spaced apart from each other at regular intervals, a horizontal member installed horizontally to be supported on the prop members, and a coupling member configured to couple the horizontal member to each of the prop members. The coupling member is coupled at a first side thereof to the horizontal member and coupled at a second side thereof to each of the prop members, a guide hole is formed in the second side to guide the horizontal member when it is displaced due to external shocks, and the second side is fixedly coupled to the prop member by a fixing pin that passes through the guide hole to be fixed to the prop member.
One-piece metal plate foundation with integral offset plate for guardrails and other structures and guardrail system utilizing same
A one-piece metal plate foundation suitable for guardrails and other structures includes a longitudinally extending main plate body; a rear flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the main plate body in a first direction at a rear edge of the main plate body; a front flange extending at an angle from a longitudinal portion of the main plate body in a direction opposite the first direction at a front edge of the main plate body; an integral offset spacing plate coupled to a front edge of the main plate body above the front flange and extending laterally forward of the front flange; and a mounting flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the offset spacing plate at a front edge of the offset spacing plate, wherein the mounting flange is configured for mounting of a guardrail.
Barrier construction
The present invention relates to posts, carriages, methods of manufacturing the components and their assembly into a barrier. The invention also includes a Z post attachment includes an attachment tab 8.016 and end engagement flange 8.024, 8.026 adapted to engage the end of the post. The arrangement can include a delineator 8.030 which is skew in relation to the tab 8.016, so as to provide reflector faces 8.032 which face oncoming traffic.
SAFETY END PIECE FOR ROAD BARRIERS
Safety end piece mounted in the front end of metal road barriers, wherein the end piece is frontally provided with a sliding support with blades that, when hit by an out of control vehicle, is capable of moving towards a beam of laminated wood and interfering with the blades with the structure of the beam, in such a way that the interference determines a progressive reduction of the forward traveling speed of the sliding support and absorbs the energy of the impact discharged by the out of control vehicle against the sliding support.
Crash cushion with improved side panel attachment
A crash cushion includes a number of spaced-apart supports or bulkheads, energy-absorbing modules positioned between the supports; and overlapping side panels that interconnect the supports and envelop the energy-absorbing modules. The crash cushion collapses upon itself in an accordion fashion when struck by a vehicle so as to transfer and absorb vehicle impact energy over a predetermined distance. The side panels are attached to the supports and to each other with fastener assemblies. Each fastener assembly comprises a slider bolt, a nut, and a spacer shim. The spacer shim maintain gaps between the slider bolts and the side panels so that the overlapping edges of adjacent side panels are not compressed together regardless of the torque applied to the slider bolt to allow the side panels to collapse and telescope together smoothly when the crash cushion is struck by a vehicle.
MODULE FOR ROAD SAFETY BARRIER AND SAFETY BARRIER MADE WITH SAID MODULE
The present invention relates to a module for a road safety barrier (11) comprising essentially a main protection body (12) adapted to be coupled and constrained to at least two support uprights (13) fixed and constrained to the road surface or in the ground immediately adjacent to said road surface, in which said main protection body (12) has an upturned L shaped section to be arranged on said uprights (13) and fixed to them and in which said main protection body (12) has, in its front surface facing outwards, opposite to that facing said uprights (13), at least two wave- shaped enlargements (14) which proceed horizontally and parallel to the ground, said main protection body (12) being made from a special composite material, in which the matrix used for its realisation comes from raw materials recycled from used tyres, that is from the mixing of rubber powder and/or granules containing other recycled plastic materials and their related binders.
Spacer for road safety barrier
A spacer for a road safety barrier is provided. The spacer includes a rail support having a front face to be fastened to a rail, a rear face to be fastened to a post and a flange that connects the front face to the rear face. The front face includes a connector housing and a weaker area connecting the connector housing to the upper edge of the front face, the mechanical resistance of the weaker area being strictly lower than the intrinsic mechanical resistance of the constituent material of the remaining part of the front face of the rail support. The spacer also includes a rail guide including a fastening area for fastening the rail guide to a post above the rail support, a connecting piece and a rail reinforcement area for fastening the rail guide to the reverse side of the rail.
