A cable is disposed between the first wall panel and second wall panel and attached to the first vertical support.

MODULAR RAILING FOR ON-SITE CONSTRUCTION

A modular railing system for on-site assembly of a railing system along a roadway is provided. The modular railing system can include a deck with an edge beam along one side and a railing that can be attached to the edge beam. Attachment of the railing to the edge beam raises the joint between the deck and the railing to inhibit water seepage into the joint. In a specific embodiment, UHPC can be used to attach the railing to the edge beam.

The guardrail, which may take the form of various types of guardrails, is noteworthy in that it includes an impact detector/indicator, for indicating the location of the guardrail involved in an impact or accident and also for notifying the accident and the place where it occurred to a traffic control station or to public assistance personnel. The detector/indicator includes a convex protective plate (2) attached to the front of the guardrail (1) with which it is used, said plate (2) protecting a connection box (3) and a tube (4) so as together to create a means for detecting and communicating the impact that occurred, also having an indicator light (5) for flagging up the impact, said indicator (5) being positioned on a support plate (6) secured above the protective plate (2).

MODULAR PANEL FOR PROTECTING PARAPET STRUCTURES

A modular cover panel including two or more cover panels that cover a parapet or barrier along a roadway. Multiple cover segments may overlap one another to form the modular cover panel and each cover panel is individually hung or suspended by brackets affixed to the parapet. Each cover segment has one more surfaces intersecting with other to cover the parapet and a top surface that overhangs a top surface of the parapet. A cable may be disposed through a slot of a hanging bracket and a pin may secure the cable thereby providing a mechanical attachment to the assembly.

Impact Absorbing Traffic Noise Barrier System
20190211518 · 2019-07-11 ·

Disclosed is an impact resistant traffic noise barrier system. The system includes a traffic barrier that is designed to be placed adjacent a roadway and next to a flow of traffic. The design and weight of the traffic barrier permit it to withstand a variety of vehicle impacts. As part of the system, a sound wall is installed along the top of the traffic barrier. The sound wall includes a series of beams that are secured to the traffic barrier via anchor plates. Acoustic panels are secured between adjacent beams. An anchor cable extends from an anchor post, to a first post, and along a number of intermediate posts. The anchor cable is thus suspended above the traffic barrier with the anchor cable being connected to the beams. As such, the anchor cable suspends the beams in the event they become separated from the traffic barrier.

Modular demountable safety panels, compatible with application on concrete bases or metal barriers at motor racing circuits and their respective assembly process

A new type of demountable modular panel and its respective assembly process, intended for use on motor sports circuits, particularly on urban circuits. It has the advantage of being easily assembled and disassembled, allowing easy access to any point on the circuit. It can be used on metal barriers or on concrete bases fitted with U section metal guides at their ends, into which a metal support profile is inserted. Above the base, a fencing panel is placed, with a top section included at 45. A tubular metal shaft is introduced vertically through metal connectors and tightly clamped in rectangular retention brackets. The attachment of the panel is reinforced by L section metal brackets and respective bolts with washers.

An elongate barrier (3) comprises an outer shell in an elongate lower section of the barrier that defines a cavity (11) that receives and contains a pourable settable ballast material when the barrier is being manufactured. The barrier also comprises a solid block (15) of a ballast material in the cavity formed from the pourable settable ballast material.

Adjustable mold for making precast concrete traffic barrier panels with different geometries for use in modular earth retaining walls
12005606 · 2024-06-11 · ·

Various embodiments of an adjustable mold and method for making precast concrete traffic barrier panels with different geometries are disclosed. The panels are used for creating a continuous traffic barrier by placing the panels in a contiguous side-by-side arrangement adjacent a roadway atop a modular earth retaining wall. Each traffic barrier panel has a body with at least front, back, top, bottom, left, and right sides. The mold body has a plurality of walls that define an interior chamber, a door opening to the interior chamber, and a concrete inlet to the interior chamber. The door is designed to be installed on and to be uninstalled from the mold body to respectively close and open the door opening. The door has left side and right side forming panels that are designed to define respectively a left side two-dimensional geometry and a right side two-dimensional geometry of the left and right sides respectively of a traffic barrier panel to be made. The left side and right side two-dimensional geometries are changeable by interchanging the door with differently oriented forming panels or by adjusting two-dimensional orientations of each of the left side and right side forming panels on the existing door. The interior chamber of the mold body in combination with an interior side of the door define an outer surface geometry of the front, back, top, bottom, left, and right sides of the traffic barrier panel to be made.

System for illuminating a carriageway in a case of fog

A system for illuminating a carriageway in a case of fog includes a road safety barrier arranged along the carriageway, at least one fog density detecting device arranged along the road safety barrier, and a plurality of light sources borne by the road safety barrier, distributed along the road safety barrier, and oriented for each to emit a light beam having a direction that is transversal to an extension axis of the road safety barrier so as to illuminate signage on the carriageway. A control unit that is connected to the light sources and to the fog density detecting device is configured to activate the light sources when the fog density detecting device detects a fog density value of above a threshold value.
