Angled drive for snowblower
Embodiments of the invention provide a snowblower comprising a body including a pair of ground contacting members disposed at a bottom portion of the body, a blade for scraping the ground, the blade being secured at the bottom portion of the body, a snow blowing mechanism disposed in the body and an impeller housing located in the snow blowing mechanism, the impeller housing including an impeller rotation axis thereof disposed non-parallel with a horizontal ground when the snowblower is in an optimal levelled operation position, the impeller rotation axis being angled to increase a height of an impeller drive in direction of a power source.
Auxiliary material moving assembly for snow plow-blower or other material moving device
An auxiliary material moving assembly operates in conjunction, independently and/or concomitantly with a material moving machine for proficient handling, removal, and management of material such as snow, ice, and/or other materials. The auxiliary material moving assembly is configured to be mounted on a material moving machine. The auxiliary material moving assembly comprises at least one attachment arm, preferably at least two foldable or rotatable attachment arms, and at least one material moving element. The material moving machine includes a snowplow, snow plow-blower, or other material moving machine. Preferably, the auxiliary material moving element comprises one or more snow cutter, snow beater, screw-like auger, auger, ribbon-cutter, rotary fan, impeller, rotary (sweeping) broom, blower, scraper, paddle or other mechanical device that permits handling, removal and management of snow, ice and/or other materials.
Snow removal apparatus and method
A snow removal apparatus and related method for removing snow from an underlying surface. The apparatus includes a plow blade arranged to stand off from the underlying surface when the apparatus is in use, a first air transport unit for delivering forced air into an air blade plenum and a second air transport unit for delivering forced air to a Venturi vacuum jet. The air blade plenum is arranged to deliver air to the underlying surface to lift snow located thereon. The Venturi vacuum jet is arranged to push air and lifted snow into and through a collection chute. Use of the apparatus results in a cleaner roadway that results per pass at a higher speed with less need for the use of salt and/or sand and substantially less wear and tear on the roadway.
Snow wing assembly having independent rotational controls
In some implementations, a lift assembly for a moldboard of a snow wing assembly of a machine may include a lifting mechanism, coupled to an undercarriage assembly of the machine, configured to lift the moldboard of the snow wing assembly to a bench height associated with the moldboard. The lift assembly may include a hinge rotatably mounted on a bar of the lifting mechanism, wherein the bar defines a first axis, and wherein the hinge is rotatably coupled to the moldboard about a second axis. The lift assembly may include a first rotational mechanism, coupled to the lifting mechanism and the hinge, configured to rotate the hinge and the moldboard about the first axis. The lift assembly may include a second rotational mechanism, coupled to the hinge and the moldboard, configured to rotate the moldboard about the second axis.
SNOW THROWER
A snow thrower includes walking wheels, a snow sweeping assembly, and a snow intake housing; where the walking wheels support the snow thrower in walking on the ground; the snow sweeping assembly includes a rotating shaft and an auger disposed on the rotating shaft, where the rotating shaft is configured to rotate about a first axis; and the snow intake housing accommodates at least part of the snow sweeping assembly. The snow intake housing has a front opening portion for snow intake, and the distance L1 between a projection of a highest point of the front opening portion on a first plane and a projection of the first axis on the first plane is less than or equal to 20 mm, where the first plane is substantially parallel to the horizontal plane.
