Pile guide construct for docks
11851836 · 2023-12-26 ·

A pile guide construct for floating docks. An elongated and vertical sleeve is positioned over a pile that is driven into the earth. A guide is positioned over the elongated and vertically positioned sleeve. A limiting cap is positioned an upper end of the sleeve that acts as a stop to prevent the guide from exceeding a vertical height that is greater than the height of the pile. Forming the sleeve and guide of thermoplastic, such as high density polyethylene, provides a sleeve and guide that are both durable and corrosion resistant, while also providing a construct having a low coefficient of friction that facilitates vertical movement of the guide relative to the sleeve and the pile. A collar mounted to the sleeve and spaced apart from the limiting cap may also be provided to provide a lower limit of travel of the dock relative to the pile.

BOAT LIFT CONSTRUCT
20210214059 · 2021-07-15 ·

A boat lift is attached to piles driven into the earth or to another object. The boat lift is held in horizontal position relative to piles or the object to which it is attached, but vertical movement of the boat lift relative to the object is permitted. The boat lift is connected to the piles by modular units or cube constructs that have a post extending there through. The post has a blade extending from it. The blades are attached at an angle, according to the application, to pile guides that engage piles. The pile guides vertically traverse the piles, permitting the boat lift to move vertically relative to the object, but fixing the horizontal position of the boat lift.

PILE GUIDE AND ADJUSTABLE MOUNTING
20200370261 · 2020-11-26 ·

A pile guide has a collar with a void therein. A planar flange extends from a side of the collar. A bracket has opposing guides constructed and arranged for receiving the planar flange of the pile guide therein. The planar flange is in a slidable relationship with the bracket, and the bracket is constructed and arranged for mounting to a floating dock. The distance of the collar from the floating dock can be adjusted to accommodate for distances of piles from the floating dock.

Floating platform

A floating platform has a floating member. The floating member is attached to another object, which may be fixed to the earth or it may be a floating object such as a floating dock or a vessel. At least two guide posts each have a horizontal blade extending from them. Each blade slidably engages a bracket that is mounted to the object, with the slidable blade permitting horizontal adjustment of the distance of the floating member from the object. The floating member has at least two horizontal receptacles extending through the floating member. Guide posts slidably engage the receptacles, permitting the floating member to move vertically relative to the guide posts, which fix the floating member's horizontal position relative to the object.

DOCK FLOAT SYSTEM
20200332487 · 2020-10-22 ·

A composite floating dock system comprised of one or more dock float components, with each dock float component having a dock frame and one or more floats attached thereto, with each of the dock float components constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic into a single monolithic unit, and being ballasted with encased concrete.

Dock management system

An apparatus manages a dock, a portion of which is disposed over a body of water, from a remote device. A control unit is disposed on the dock. A plurality of sensors is each in data communication with the control unit. Each of the plurality of sensors includes: an electric shock sensor; a water level sensor that senses a distance to the water from a predetermined location of the dock; and a theft detection circuit. A communication chipset is in data communication with the control unit. The control unit includes a processor that is programmed to transmit to the remote device via the communication chipset an indication of the following: a shock likelihood sensed by the electric shock sensor; a level detected by the water level sensor; and an alert when the theft detection circuit detects a likelihood of theft.
