CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITE MAT
20200040544 · 2020-02-06 · ·

A cementitious composite for in-situ hydration includes a structure layer having a first side and an opposing second side, a cementitious material disposed within the structure layer, a sealing layer disposed along and coupled to the first side of the structure layer, and a containment layer disposed along the opposing second side of the structure layer. The structure layer has an intersection at the sealing layer and the containment layer that is at least partially fiberless. The cementitious material includes a plurality of cementitious particles. The containment layer is configured to prevent the plurality of cementitious particles from migrating out of the structure layer.

Berm or levee expansion system and method
10538889 · 2020-01-21 ·

A system and method to create or elevate a berm of a liquid retention facility by placement of lightweight fill material anchored by impervious liner material(s). The liner materials can be part of the liquid retention pond. The system and method can also be used to elevate the height of the berm in combination with impervious liner retention material. By constructing the berm system on an existing berm, earth embankment or levee, the effective height of the system structure can be increased. The liquid impervious liner material provides a watertight surface, joining media, and the anchoring of the lightweight fill material to the existing berm. The system may use solid wall hollow body structures. The system may also use flexible and liquid porous geotextile structures including geotubes. The liquid impervious liners retain the liquid in the retention pond.

Production and application of fire resistant erosion control mat
20200002910 · 2020-01-02 ·

A fire resistant ground erosion control mat assembly. The mat assembly includes an inner layer of fire resistant milled stone mineral wool material with an upper and a lower layer of supportive nets. Each of the upper and lower nets consist of fire resistant milled mineral foraminous nettings to enable passage of light and water therethrough as a ground positioned emplacement of the inner layer.

Benthic barrier mat and method
10517288 · 2019-12-31 ·

A benthic barrier in which a polygonal shaped mat having straight sides is mounted on a similarly polygonal frame, but in which the frame sides bow out slightly between corners, causing the mat to stretch slightly and become taut. The frame comprises a plurality of straight leg members and a number of corner members as required by said polygonal shape. The corner members encompass interior angles which are from about 1 to about 5 degrees greater than the interior angle of the polygon defined by the straight sides of the mat. The frame member legs are rigid, but slightly flexible such that when assembled into the mat as an assembled frame, the straight legs are forced to bow out slightly between the corners, pulling the mat taut.

Edge stabilization assembly for golf courses, shorelines and playgrounds

EROSION CONTROL APPARATUS
20190376248 · 2019-12-12 ·

The present invention relates to an erosion control apparatus and methods of using and installing the apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to prevent erosion of soil during typical weather or tidal conditions and adverse weather events. The apparatus can include a plurality of anchored rolls and soil lifts operative to stabilize the shoreline.

SYNTHETIC GROUND COVER SYSTEM FOR EROSION PROTECTION
20190360162 · 2019-11-28 · ·

A synthetic turf cover system for covering various types of ground where water and wind erosion protection are needed includes a non-woven synthetic textile drainage layer and a woven textile layer positioned beneath and adjacent the non-woven synthetic textile drainage layer. A plurality of synthetic grass blades extend above the non-woven synthetic textile drainage layer and through the non-woven synthetic textile drainage layer and the woven textile layer, and the synthetic grass blades are tufted into the woven textile layer. The non-woven synthetic textile drainage layer can comprise a needle punched synthetic non-woven fabric or an air-laid synthetic non-woven fabric.
