ON-BOARD SPOOL-ABLE RE-USEABLE CONTAINMENT BOOM AND CONTROL SYSTEM
20180016762 · 2018-01-18 ·

An on-board spool-able re-useable containment boom for a waterborne vessel that lies substantially flat and capable of being spooled when deflated and floats in the proper orientation when inflated, that has spool-able re-inflatable float sections which are sequentially inflated during deployment and sequentially deflated during recovery, that can be repeatedly deployed and recovered for the purposes of training and testing, and that can be deployed immediately upon occurrence of an oil spill from a waterborne vessel because of its on-board location and its rapid deployment, and a control system for proper inflation and deflation of spool-able re-useable containment boom during deployment and recovery.

Systems and methods capable of processing floating solid materials recovered from a body of water on a vessel are disclosed. In some embodiments, at least first and second debris processors are provided. The first debris processor may be disposed on the vessel between at least one intake opening and at least one discharge port, both of which are fluidly coupled to at least one chamber of the vessel. The second debris processor may be disposed between the first debris processor and the discharge port(s).

Self-expanding spill containment boom

Some embodiments relate to a boom for containing floating material spilled in water comprising: an elongate sheet comprising a plurality of spaced apart units, each unit configured to self-expand from a folded state upon deployment; each unit comprising: a plurality of plates forming an upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion and the lower portion defined along a vertical axis of the boom unit; and a plurality of stiffening elongate rods, each of the plurality of elongate rods interconnecting at least two plates.

RUNOFF WATER COLLECTION DEVICE AND RUNOFF WATER COLLECTING METHOD USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a device for collecting runoff water, comprises body section having an open inlet at its upper part and an interior space for accommodating runoff water, and a buoyant member installed inside the body section, which floats due to buoyancy generated by the runoff water introduced into the body section. When the buoyant member, floated by the runoff water introduced into the body section, seals the open upper surface of the body section, the inlet includes a cap member with a vertically penetrating opening. The device according to the present invention, due to its structure, is a convenient and efficient tool for collecting runoff water. In particular, it can collect only a predetermined amount of runoff water during rainfall while blocking additional inflow, making it highly effective for applications requiring the collection of initial runoff water.
